With the LLTBP tour coming up, there's a pretty big chunk of people who aren't going to be able to enjoy shows or content from the shows because bandom really sucks at accessibility for things such as subtitles and content descriptions.
My goal for this blog is to provide more ways for people to enjoy bandom. Accessibility fucking matters. Often those who are harmed by it can't be the ones to help; those of us who don't struggle should make an effort so that more people can feel welcome and enjoy fandom spaces.
This whole idea stems from @/chaoticbuggybitchboy talking about accessibility in the music/bandom scene, so credits for the idea.
I'm only one person, but I'm hoping this starts something. If anyone has advice on how the improve the quality of my work, or wants to suggest something for me to do, please, send in an ask, tag, or DM me!
if i use your footage and you want credit, let me know :) i usually forget about it until afterwards iāve posted and lost the link so if that happens and you know whose it is, feel free to tell me!
Also go check out the new addition to the cause, @emos-for-an-accessible-bandom :D

Reminder to appropriately tag flashing and eyestrain under your posts and reblogs.
And as always, if you have any requests for me to remove flashing from clips, write text descriptions, or take screenshots of a moment (with added description) for you, just send in an ask! If youāre looking for full-show transcripts, cast your eyes over to the wonderful @omtai !
If your April Foolās Day post relies on joking at the expense of someoneāsā disability, subculture, ethnicity, trauma, or sense of reality, it probably wasnāt very funny to begin with.
Please, for the billionth time, remember to tag posts with unreality or any other sensitive content it may contain.
Iām never not thinking about that screenshot of the Google trends for āgerard way pronounsā where you can pinpoint the SECOND they stepped onstage in Nashville.
[image description: a google trends graph tracking "interest over time" for the search "gerard way pronouns". the x axis starts in january 2020 and contains some small spikes, but none above 20 hits. then, in august 2022, the graph shoots up to 100 hits before dying back down. /end id]
I couldnāt watch the mcr concert. What ai were they using out of curiosity?
Sorry for not clarifying, it wasnāt MCR!! This blog is very MCR-focused but itās really meant to apply to bandom culture as a whole.
All the on-screen graphics were AI generated, which if anything makes me appreciate MCR more for paying ACTUAL artists to help make their world come to life.

I was lucky enough to see a gig tonight, and the thing that stood out to me (second only to the insane amount of AI they used, itās sad but Iām coping) was just how unnecessary the flashing lights were. Like, okay cool I canāt see the band right now. Nice, Iām gonna have a mad headache after this. Like at that point it doesnāt even look cool.
i haven't interacted with mcr related stuff for a good while for a number of reasons but this blog genuinely makes me feel there's still some hope out there. people writing out transcripts, talking about accessibility within bandom spaces and actually caring about others is huge. i can't put into words how massively appreciative i am of everyone involved.
When I started this blog, I honestly expected no one to care. I thought Iād have maybe two people see it, that no one would really notice, and that I would only have motivation to run it for a month or two.
Never have I been more wrong.
Iām so grateful to everyone involved, whether theyāre creating content, reblogging it, or even just tagging things correctly.
Iām going to use this response as a way to say thank you to everyone who makes bandom (and the world) a better, more accessible place. Itās brought back a lot of my faith in humanity and itās something Iāll sure as hell never forget.
Can people please request things so that I know what there's demand for? They can be from any time, not just the current tour, though I'll probably prioritise more recent events.
Just send in an ask with what it is and what you'd like me to do with it.
I've included a script below the cut for anyone who'd prefer to use one, and an example.
Hi! Could you please take [event/link] and [remove flashing / add captions / write alt text / upload photos with descriptions]? Thank you!
E.g. Hi! Could you please take the performance of Hang 'Em High from the show in Chille and remove any flashing from the video? Thank you!
Note: If you request something by name rather than attaching a link (like in the example), please add what city the show is from, and if there are multiple nights where the same thing happens, please specify which you mean!
i have barely posted about mcr since they first announced long live but i'm starting to feel left out. where can i learn the lore of this tour does anybody have like a masterpost
š¬ 0Ā Ā š 84Ā Ā ā¤ļø 185Ā Ā·Ā MAKING A MASTERLIST OF GOOD SHOW RECORDINGS!!!Ā Ā·Ā I WILL ADD TO THIS AS THE SHOWS HAPPEN!!!
LONG LIVE THE BLACK PARADE:
all of the recordings for the tour so far :)
its a lot to write out tbh, but you should be pretty much good if you watch anyone from both parts of the post. each show is different but its only slightly and the plot stays essentially the same. you can probably find some other master posts and @accessiblebandomproject has at least some of them transcribed if you're sensitive to flashing lights (I haven't checked in on their blog in a hot sec tho)
@omtai does transcripts of the shows, and occasionally when something especially noteworthy happens I'll remove flashing, add captions, or write text descriptions. I'll definitely do some more once I've caught up with shows!
How dearly I missed doing these. Also calling the guy from the projections Narrator cus what I wanted to call him is Big Brother but I feel thatās a little on the nose. The other guy from the projections is Real Boy though because heās a real boy. Under the cut š
FIRST SET
(Beginning before Over Fields)
[narrator]: Hello my friends, good morning. It is another beautiful day in Draag. A chance, once more, to get things right; and push beyond our best. So, rise with the sun, and take your medication. Here is your schedule for today, and we will start by observing the Draag National Anthem.
(Before sharpest lives)
[Gerard, reading off paper]: Good be here, itās nice to evening. Good evening, itās nice to be here.
(Before wttbp)
[Narrator]: The humour to think about learning to be what you hate, and learning to do what you fear, is that someone youāve been your whole life doing something youāve always been good at could feel so entirely new. That brutality, so second nature, could feel so alien, so foreign to you; itās astounding to witness firsthand. So letās remind you, for a moment, exactly what you are and the thing that you do best. The lesson is, a man knows how to forgive, but a leader knows how to instruct. And since, through pain we learn, letās be student then be a teacher. Now, [indistinct], use your words and use them to [indistinct].
(Before cancer)
[narrated from Clerk reading a postcard]: Hello from Gubrick. Itās really not that dirty here. You donāt notice the smell after a few days. Sadly, thereās nothing I can do for you. All my love, Dad.
[mama interlude]
[introducing dagger part]
[Gerard]: How are you good people here tonight? All the way from the Catskills, I see. Itās been a long flight for me, I need a drink. You guys are a lively bunch. Oh, youāre laughing already? Whatās so funny? Is it my suit? I know, itās a mess. My suitās a mess. Thatās what happens when your manager books your plane ticket in the garbage hold. Thatās what fucking happens, you know what I mean? So anyways, me and the fucking boysāhold on, I need a drink before I tell this story. So anyways, me and the boys wanted to start out tonight withānot jokes, no jokes, just a song, you know what I mean? Itās a real special song. I learned this one from a friend a long time ago. When I met him, the first time, he says to me, āI like your shoes.ā And I said, you donāt got any fucking shoes at all! Jokes. Jokes. But he leans over to me, and whispers in my ear, this is what he saysā¦
[introducing Sylvia, or, magic assistant]
[Gerard]: Now howās about that song? Whatād you think about that? Alright, alright, alright, alright, youāre probably asking who she is. This is the part of the show where we do magic. And weāre gonna do a magic trick. Alright? This brave young lady right here, from [somewhere] Michigan, a very far off land, is our assistant. For all things magical spells. And she is gonna let us make her disappear. Weāre gonna need your help. Itās just a little one, two, one two three four. But if youāre ready I think we can try it. Oh, by the powers vested in me by His Arcane Majesty, The Great Gazoo!
[during the big sky]
[Narrator]: There is a planet, so it spins, and itās moving so fast itās not worried at all. Very busy. People, people hurry. And the child who has the chalk and sand, let me see you. So we see them. We say, let me see who loves you. As the chalk, it moves in circles. Many circles. Great big circles. Hugging arms and smiling eyes. And we deal with the child. Letās subtract, and again, and what if we subtract them? Who is left to love you? There is only the hands that wipe the chalkboard clean.
[before Sleep]
[Narrator]: I see. All this time, you are making drawings someone else must now erase. But I am glad that we are friends, and that now you understandāthis is the worst day of your life, but the first day of yourself.
[before disenchanted]
[narrator]: Hello, my friend. I see you. But no, weāve never met. They gave to me a picture, and Iāve had it quite some time. In fact, before you said a word Iāve always heard your voice. And you donāt mind? That makes me smile. There is one last seat, and one more ticket. Itās hiding in your coat. Yes, you, youāre here. So take your seat, get comfy, here is my hand.
[before famous last words]
[Real Boy]: A figure sits in a chair made of wood. And itās sobbing. You think itās you. Youāre pretty sure itās you. But itās weak. Itās broken. And itās covered in gasoline. Now, picture yourself.
SECOND SET
[before nanana]
[Gerard]: Weāre My Chemical Romance from New Jersey.
[before planetary go]
[Gerard]: Fuck yeah. No, weāre not stopping yet. Weāre gonna say some shit, but now yet. Wanna keep fucking going. [indistinct] How do you feel ābout that, Peru? Alright, letās fucking go.
[before ghost of you]
[Gerard]: Alright, Lima, how the fuck are you! Alright, alright, weāre gonna, uh, play something off Revenge in a minute, but, we wanna, uh, we got some people we wanna thank, so, we have, well, always with us, we have Jarrod Alexander, Jamie Muhoberac, toured with us a very long fucking time, even though this time theyāre kinda different characters. But, we have our medical staff, Kayleigh Goldsworthy, Clarice Jensen, who played a song after the first set, and Tucker fucking Rule. And the band that were nice enough to come out with us on this incredible fucking tour, The fucking Hives. I would go to this show. I would even stay for My Chemical Romance. Really honoured that they came out with us. One of the greatest fucking rock bands of all time. Alright. Introductions, out of the way. Letās make it spooky. Gonna make it spooky! [shushes] [shushes again] [shushes a third time] Light it up, Peru.
[before give em hell kid]
[Gerard]: Thank you so much. Boxspring. Man, that was like, forty-seven, forty-seven little boxes.
[Gerard]: Okay. Oh, was talking about Cheeseburger in Paradise, oh right. So, I keep a list of really excellent murder music. And you know, itās not like I wouldāI would play this music to murder people, I donāt ever plan on doing that, but, should, letās say, you know, I write a film or thereās a TV show, like, there was this scene in, uh, the first episode of Umbrella Academy where Five kills all these people in the, in the, um, donut shop, and I was like, please use āDaydream Believerā by The Monkees. I love them, please useāthis isāthis is perfect murder music, āIstanbulā is not on my murder music list, but you know what is now? Cheeseburger In fucking Paradise. This is kinda on the list. I think. What do you say we play it? Letās do it.
[before vampires]
[Gerard]: I didnāt even know scary shit was about to happen, I just said that for fun. But scary shit is about to happen. Trust me, my friend, trust meātrustātrust me, my friends. But anyway, itās really nice to be here. Alright, Lima, letās make it spooky. My favourite. My favourite, hand-selected, favourite song.
[before Helena]
[Gerard]: Yeah, letās do that. Letās do that. Give it a shot. Alright, Lima. Last chance. We did this intro to this song many years ago, I canāt think of a more perfect place to do it than here. Are you ready?
Everyone go support OP for doing a huge service to the community! They've done these for every show of the tour so far and they're extremely well done.

with all the accessibility stuff for the new mcr tour stuff and since you're big in the fandom i would share how i disabled the flashing since it is often not tagged properly
it's really annoying for stimboards but like worth it for safety
