Cosima: *Flashbacks to Delphine whispering ‘Defy them’*

 She’s afraid to trust Delphine because she’s always going in and out of her life, and Cosima is afraid that one day she might not come back—whether by choice or circumstance. The resentment she spews so fiercely at Delphine sometimes isn’t always about Delphine. And what’s more, although Delphine may not have know about her familial background, she knows Cosima well enough to understand that she harbors deep seething mistrust. And Delphine takes the yelling and anger without firing back because she understands!!! 

That makes me LOVE Delphine all the more.

Nice observations mate!

Well i think that- at the moment- no one knows what exactly is that they’ve got ahd how to define their connection…it is very interesting to get a grasp of the actual timeline of things happening…orphan black events are happening during a year and something…you know given that the show has 5 seasons sometimes we are under the impression that s1 was chronologically years before when it is just actually months…

so at the moment Cos realises she’s sick, cophine know each other for a very small time (just days or weeks i believe?)

so i think that for them this connection must have been pretty scary cause all those feelings were developed super fast and they don’t know how to cope with them..

they  do love each other and that happened relatively quickly because of the circumstances that united them..so Delphine imo doesn’t quite know how to explain all these things that she’s feeling so fast and she’s trying desperately to make Cosima feel them instead…she’d always been physical and  very expressive as a person so she really needed to find a way and make Cosima understand the things she can’t quite say right now cause it’s way too early
