I find myself sometimes considering what if the grey outfit Max wears was instead a long leather duster coat (like in the Matrix) with fingerless gloves. Like he’s one of these edgy “chuunibyou” kids that are super into “dark psychology” (he read 48 laws of power) and makes his feeble attempts at manipulation incredibly obvious. “I said your name clearly multiple times in this interaction, you should be bending to my will by now”.

I’m thinking about Shawn from TDPI. I think he has paranoid delusions. He could be schizophrenic. I think he lives with a single mother and he doesn’t take his meds. He thinks the doctors are trying to subdue him when he knows the truth. Every time he spirals really badly about other people (including his own mum) being a zombie, she gets angry and kicks him out. He accuses her of poisoning him because she wants to turn him into a zombie. He stopped showing up to his high school, but he’s still enrolled. No one’s really sure where he goes during the day. His small community think he’s insane and good for nothing, but he’s a knowledgeable guy and shows how smart he is when he’s feeling okay. I think he is great at fishing. I think he lives in the woods in rural Canada. He knows every bit of the forrest around his home like the back of his hand.

I love how you can make the characters as ooc as you want bc you can't possibly do worse than the show did
