I am voting for Bernie Sanders on Tuesday. There are several reasons why I cannot bring myself to support Hillary Clinton, but this might be the most compelling. There is an uncomfortable amount of testimony suggesting not only that Bill Clinton is a sexual predator, but that Hillary has repeatedly worked to silence and smear his victims. I'm frankly astounded at the number of people I know personally who care deeply about sexual violence but who are willing to overlook this aspect of her character because she is a woman or because she went to a particular college. It’s especially surprising given that there is an excellent alternative on the primary ballot—a man who has consistently supported reproductive rights for women and who has no personal history of hypocrisy when it comes to the women in his own life. I don’t expect Bernie to win, but I encourage you to vote for him as well.
