it's crazy that so many people aren't on transfem bad grief like grief's p2 arc is literally directly comparable with neo in the matrix. aglaya makes a point of the fact that she didnt Tell him he's toys, he figured it out himself, it wasn't something she put upon him but a realization she helped him reach by his own choice.

when artemy first sees grief at the cathedral he insists that aglaya "did something to him" or "broke him" because he sees that grief has changed in an essential and irreversible way and it scares him because that's his best friend and he doesn't understand what's going on and what grief is saying to him doesn't make sense within his understanding of how the world works. and a lot of players take artemy's assertions here at face value, even though both aglaya and grief insist that isn't what happened. and from the outside we Know that grief has reached a self-understanding which is not only objectively true but greater than almost anyone around them will ever achieve. and it's distressing because it makes grief feel unlovable and isolated verging on fully suicidal due to their lack of agency over their position in the contrived world. the matrix if there was no red pill because estradiol hasn't been invented yet. but idk people like to portray grief and aglaya's relationship as though aglaya is tormenting grief in some way when that's blatantly not true, she just opened the door for grief to become aware of how, for lack of a better word, dysphoric they already are. can we get her out of there
