The eldest child of the White line. A life that all assume is destined for greatness, but one that leads to more pain than anyone could know. When all eyes are on you, failure is never an option and this was something young Rosalind took a little too seriously.
Even before she knew the influence her family had, Rosalind noticed the stares. The whispers. Everyone around her wanted something from her and held her at a high expectation that she didnāt know if she could achieve.
This caused her to protect herself however she could. Distancing herself from others, finding solace in loneliness. More than anything, she feared being an abomination and a disappointment to her mother - who could not have been better to her.
Of course she knew that her mother never expected to be queen. Regardless, she wanted to support her however she could. Perhaps this fueled her desire to avoid deviation from the norm as much as possible.
Her relationship with her father is much different than that of her mother. Rosalind certainly feels that she can confide in her mother a lot more and feels understood by her.
Her talents with the element of spirit came as quite the surprise to her mother - once again fueling the desire for her to be the best at everything.
The voices in her head began to show their effects on the young woman when she was fourteen. Her breakdown was something that the royal family tried to keep as quiet as possible, sheltering her for a couple of years. She was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and carefully monitored.
Rosalind carries a burning hatred inside for both herself and the title she carries. She wonders frequently if she would be happier living a normal life, without so much pressure on her back. Of course she would never show it, but instead continues to observe the rules as closely as she can.
Of course, the conversations happened about her future. Her marriage. However, Rosalind knew from a very early age that she could never marry a man. Instead, she found herself desiring to spend the rest of her life with a woman. She came out as a lesbian shortly before she reached adulthood, and has been living happily as such ever since.
Her element, of course, was something Sorina wanted overseen by the best of the best. Because of this, she ended up attending Acadia Academy between the ages of twenty-four and twenty-eight.
Her relationship with her guardian is very cordial. While some craved the independence of a lack of guardianship, Rosalind didnāt mind her protection. As previously mentioned, she is the child every royal parent would want and the ward that every guardian would dream of considering she actually allows them to do their job. Itās not that sheās easy to control, she just wants to be well respectful of the traditions of the Moroi. Her guardian encourages her to get outside of her sheāll and experience a bit more, all while keeping her safe. Protecting her is a huge responsibility and Ros makes it known ( WANTED CONNECTION ).
Joining the staff of Acadia was her motherās idea - perhaps intending for her daughter to be her eyes on the success of the Academy when she could not be. The queen only wanted the best for the royal families and no one knew her standards better than her eldest daughter.
Her obedience may put her at odds with her siblings - but she could not care less. Their titles, specifically hers comes with a lot of influence. Itās not just about her, but there are people watching. Some might say that she cares about more about protecting the crown than her own family, but that couldnāt be further from the truth. It all ties back to her fear of disappointing those around her.
She keeps a very small circle, observant about their intentions and what they could possibly do to damage their reputation. Sheās realized lately, however that this has pushed many people away that could have a good influence on her life.
Rosalind is a very stern professor. She expects work to be turned in on time at all costs. With the attack, however, she has certainly found herself easing up but not by much. Sheāll get there eventually.
She has also never been in love before - filling her life with meaningless flings that sheās kept very secretive from the public. Well, maybe she has once. This person would definitely have had to deal with Rosalindās desire to sneak around - keeping their relationship a secret from the public. To this day, no one probably knows they were even together. Itās not that sheās not proud of the love they shared, she just prefers to live a very private life ( WANTED CONNECTION ).
She also kept in contact with one close friend, who she considers to almost be like an advisor. There is no one else that she trusts more in her life and while the princess would never admit it, she would be a lot more undone without her ( CONNECTION FILLED BY MOLLIE BRIXTON ).
She does not know nor care how her students perceive her. Being perceived by others is something that sheās quite used to at this point.
Kind of a hermit - living in a very fancy penthouse thatās decorated with very expensive furniture that doesnāt really feel like her. Subconsciously, she wants nothing more than to escape and travel far, far away from the boarders of Lennox.
When she made the decision to return to the Academy - she was asked to teach Basic Elemental Control due to the ease at which she picked up her element. Those around her are mystified by the grace at which she mastered spirit, but little do they know her element just might one day be the cause of her undoingā¦

Quinn thought that he was paying enough for tuition that he should be allowed to access the Aquatic Centre at whatever time he pleased. There were no opening times on the sea, so he thought that 3 AM would be just as appropriate of a visiting time for his trip to the pool. Plus, he wanted to get used to swimming here before he had to mingle with anyone else. It wasnāt that he felt particularly intimidated or anything, though. He just didnāt want to fuck up a first impression, and he couldnāt quite make a good one if he wasnāt comfortable with the place. Or at least that was the logic he was going with. He probably just didnāt want to talk to anyone yet because American accents and vampires were all too overwhelming but that was the story heād go with to please himself in his indulgence of self isolation.
Said isolation was soon interrupted by the sound of the door closing behind someone, causing him to break his lap to investigate. He bobbed above the surface, looking around till his eyes found someone standing at the edge of the pool. Considering there were three Olympic sized pools, he wasnāt quite sure why they were standing here at his one. Unless he was in trouble.
