when you think about it teenagers of the next generation will never get to experience a cw show with 7+ seasons and 22 episodes per season. they will never know what it's like to be insanely obsessed with a mediocre show with mediocre writing and mediocre acting (with one really good actor carrying the show on their backs). they will never know the feeling of fighting weekly in the trenches for your ship only for the writers to screw you over. they will never be so increasingly disappointed by the worsening writing choices as the seasons progress and they will never know what it's like to watch the worst series finale after investing years into a show. and that is the biggest tragedy.

If you're lamenting the fact that you used to be able to shoot through a 500-page novel in like a day when you were in middle school and now you can't, it's worth bearing in mind that a big part of that is because when you were in middle school, your reading comprehension sucked. Yes, mental health and the stresses of adult life can definitely be factors, but it's also the case that reading is typically more effortful as an adult because you've learned to Ponder The Implications. The material isn't just skimming over the surface of your brain anymore, and some of the spoons you used to spend on maximising your daily page count are now spent on actually thinking about what you're reading!

Let me lose in the poetry, let me lose in the art, let me lose in the music, let me lose in the sky, the words and art are what bound my heart and soul, let me lose in the magic, let me lose in my mind, even if it for a moment, let me live in the world I desire, with the people I love. This world is too cruel, too harsh and too realistic. Let me live the happiness I pray for and happy endings i crave for.

I realised to be authentic in your 20s means to include elements that made you happy when you were really small, mix them with the new interests you got as a teenager, and everything decorated with your current perspective about the world
