“Not quite often I get caught in a situation like this.” Blair spoke, having had to defend herself against the Stonehide Hawachurl. While she could drop an Elemental Burst on him, she had recently run out of gathered energy and had to accumulate more again.

Didn’t help that she had some Idol or whatever the other was supposed to be, with her.

“Dodge!” She yelled out, the Hawachurl pouncing and the tremors causing rock-spikes to go around everywhere. “Miss Idol, can you try and help me with this one? You’re one that uses a Catalyst, right? Provide me with ranged support.”

Ashura had barely managed to dodge the Hawachurl’s attack, swiftly diving into a dodge roll before standing up once more. She hadn’t expected to be thrust into battle just from exploring a little bit, but here she was.

At the other’s request for help, she gave a small nod.

“Good morning. Hope you slept well.”

“After today, I’m off. Have a good evening.”

“You don’t usually leave early…”

“I was cold this morning, that’s how I knew you were up early.”

“I know we said good night half an hour ago, but you’re still up.”

“How late did I sleep in?”

“This has been a pleasant evening, but unfortunately it must end.”

“Breakfast has been covered, don’t worry about it.”

“Falling asleep? Bed time.”

“I can handle one more hour… half an hour.”

“This sunrise was absolutely worth it.”

“Sunsets happen all the time but for once, there’s time to take it in.”

“I tucked you in last night. You were a little out of it.”

“Why did I have to wake up to the floor?”

“Up so early? Morning to you too.”

“Up with the sun, down with the sun?”

“You say good night, I say good morning.”

“You say good morning, I say good night.”

“Ten more minutes. No don’t get up.”

“You’re never by this late, is something wrong?”

“Alright, up and at ‘em. Burning daylight.”

“Welcome to trying to be nocturnal!”

“Are you gonna get up or am I taking you to bed?”

“I will not be removed from my blankets.”

“As you wish.” Blair nodded, taking a step back and letting her weapon fade away for now. She could always draw out Excalibur again if need be, but this one seemed rather harmless. Especially if a boar of all things scared her half to death. “Do you need some tools for that?”

Hence why she had taken out a hunting knife out of her pouch, holding it out to them. “I think you can sell this one for quite a sum of Mora. Seems like a larger specimen and its fur shines with elemental particles for some reason.”

  “The offer is appreciated, but not necessary, miss.” The woman of Liyue fetched her own hunting knife from the breast of her coat. It was used for work more than its intended use out in the wilderness, though this wouldn’t be the first time she’s cut the meat from a boar.

“Understood.” Blair had let the hunting knife disappear into her inventory as well, much like she did with her Claymore earlier. Still, she crossed her arms, now observing the other, nodding in agreement again.

“I understand that. The feeling of freedom and all, but a lot of nations don’t treasure it the same way you of Mondstadt do.” It was better to be honest and upfront. Especially as it wasn’t her opinion, but common talk at that point and she was sure that Huffman wouldn’t be offended so easily.

“I hail from Snezhnaya. When gliding, you always have to be careful not to freeze in mid-air. While I do have some innate resistance due to my Cryo Vision, even it remains powerless when up against the Tsaritsa.” There was the whole thing of her having been a former Fatui Harbinger, but she would not bring that up in a conversaiton with a Favonius Knight.

“What about yourself, Sir Huffman? were you born here?”

                          “Snezhnaya, ah what a difference place you’ve come to                            Miss Blair. Well perhaps you’ll enjoy gliding here more                            when the festival comes and when the sun shines more.”

He smiled, chuckling a little.

                          “As for me, yes I was born and raised here. I haven’t had                           the chance to travel the world. But I’ve heard enough tales                           from passing travelers such as yourself.”

He paused, looking up at the walls of the city, holding up a hand to the fellow knights at the gate in a way of greeting them.

“Of course, though I do recommend still traveling if the Knight job ever tires you out. An extended vacation of 3 months should be enough to travel the continent of Teyvat, don’t you think?”

Perhaps a few days plus or minus, depending on whether or not he took time to go sight-seeing, as most would. Blair herself had already seen everything there had to be seen and was now focusing on participating on the many different festivals that were around.

“Do take it form me though and keep away from Inazuma. The Electro Archon...isn’t in the most sane state of mind. She wants everyone to be visionless, so she had those with visions hunted down and taken from them. If met with resistance, she’d have them killed.”

The one thing that stuck out the most with this stranger was her hair. She hasn’t seen silver hair like that except for on her grandmother! She’s staring at her now it takes her a moment to finally realize what she’s doing as her cheeks turn a soft hue of pink. Shaking her head she sighed before walking up to the woman. Tapping her shoulder with her finger she gave her a smile. She obviously wasn’t from around here. She would know she knows everyone here!

“Ah right, you Knights have had a lot of trouble with the Abyss Order lately, haven’t you?” Blair is going to be careful not to mention her moniker/title of Abyss Walker at all. That would just bring more trouble than it’s worth it.

“I take it Lady Amber is a Pyro user?” They were always the quickest on the job to melt ice if anything. Then again, most of the time it created an Elemental reaction and those weren’t really favored by anyone, except in use against the Fatui and the monsters here and there.

“Ah that would be nice; I’ll be taking you up on your offer then.” She nodded her thanks and replied to the question. “Only when I had to. Most of the time I prefer walking and climbing. I only really glide if there’s no other choice, like say gliding across a chasm or the odd canyon here andthere.”

Huffman nodded at her assumption, confirming that she was correct.

                           “I’m surprised, but then again Mondstadt is the place                             where everyone likes to glide. Brings us closer to the                             winds and makes us feel closer to our Archon.”

Huffman said as he was surprised she didn’t glide that often. It was practically part of their culture here in Mondstadt, to be able to bear wings like their Ameno Archon and to let the wind that they cherished so much guide them to new places…but he supposed that wasn’t shared amongst everyone in Teyvat.
