playing trivial pursuit in warhammer like og trivpurs is way timelocked the sports questions in particular i grew up with a copy that asked about the 1970s Olympics and shit like ??? and the 40k version ALSO has cultural shit where you really gotta hope somebody on your team has the right frame of reference. A good deck of trivpurs cards will have been assembled for the praxis, where folks care about that sort of thing, by picking up a bunch of local variants and similar games and mixing them together but even then it's just aiming for a "good" failstate where everybody feels equally confused by the question and you still also get the "bad" failstate where people feel left out

you could just do pub style trivia but the added activity with the game board and the pie pieces adds a certain something. makes it more of a Thing when you're all passing time traveling between the exciting things to do and you don't have cadian internet

Turns out the demon is legit and somebody will need to step in but the reason Simon doesn't pass it off to one of his work buddies is that they've got this real shitty puritan culture down there that teaches that desiring is as bad as doing and there's a bunch of kids making demon pacts over absolutely pathetic ass shit like literally the taste of butter, while the planetary industry is fuckin pearl harvesting and as others have noted that's one of the most expensive things in the galaxy compared to other gems bc it requires life. So there's sparkliea to acquire and societal wrongs to right: this is a Praxis job all over

It's great like there's nothing illegal or heretical or even at all uncommon about how things are on this planet, so Simon will just have to find an excuse. Like it's totally normal for this shit to be this shitty, but also like, under fascism there's aLways SOMETHING that anyone is doing wrong, and Simon will just find that and use it when his real issue is that life is bad enough that multiple teenage children have felt like they wanted FUCKING BUTTER and LACE SOCKS enough to betray the Emperor and all mankind about it, and that's not right when it would be so easy to simply provide them with the butter

He does have to call pat back to ask how much she either likes this person or is relying upon them actually considering this a favor they'll pay back lol

he knows Simon won't hurt him, he just has to hold still, with the cold glitter of Simon's steel placed just so against his skin, and the Saint positively glows with his appreciation of this physical demonstration of Roger's trust, and seeing that knifesharp redhot gleam in Simon's eyes as they drink Roger in makes Roger's cock ache, makes him groan before Simon even touches him
