Abu Hafsa

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله:

“And how many women are now crying out of regret;

when they married those men who seemed righteous,

but they then came to find out

that these men are from the worst people in treating their wives”

فدافع الفكرة فان لم تفعل صارت شهوة

فحاربها، فان لم تفعل صارت عظيمة و همة

فان لم تدافعها صارت فعلا

فان لم تتداركه بضده صار عادة فيصعب عليك الانتقال عنها

Stand firm against evil thoughts, for if you fail to do so, they will become ideas. If you do not, they will become desires, so fight against them.  If you do not, they will become a form of determination and intention.  If you do not resist, they will become actions, and if you do not follow them up with their opposite, they will become habits that will be hard to quit.

“There will come a time when bodies would be living but hearts would be dead.”

It was said to Umm al-Muminīn Sawda (رضي الله عنها):

"Why do you not go for Hajj or make 'Umrah like the way your sisters do?"

She said: "I have already performed Hajj and 'Umrah and Allaah تعالى has commanded me that I should stay inside my house."

The sub-narrator said: "By Allāh! She did not go out of her house except when her Janāzah (funeral) was taken out."

It was reported on the authority of al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad – may Allah have mercy on him – that he said: “How will you be if you reach a time when you will see people who do not make a distinction between truth and falsehood, believer and unbeliever, trustworthy and treacherous, nor ignorant and knowledgeable, and neither recognise [what is] good nor reject [what is] evil?”

I know that I won’t be beautiful forever, or healthy, or young and I know that the praise and fake love this world shows me is nothing but falsified amusement.

My merciful lord you’re forever and home is with you,

My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.

There is no love between any two souls greater than that, that exists between the spouses.

“Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction…[surah Nisaa] … No matter how much we deny it, we all know the predestined end…Death”

This reminder is the reminder that keeps giving, and in it is a heavy lesson. As our brother is not with us anymore. How many reblogs of his recitations are rebloged on tumblr? How many people profess their love and missing of him? Many.

Don’t waste yourself on sites which will continue to function with or without you. As people of faith who affirm Allah as one, Allah encouraged us to be conscious of time, ‎

وَالْعَصْرِ

By Al-’Asr (the time).

‎إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ

Verily, man is in loss. ‎

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ

Except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth and recommend one another to patience.” (Surah 103. Al-Asr,)

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

To Allaah we belong and to Him we shall return.

May Allaah سبحانه و تعالى forgive him, shower His Mercy upon him and grant him the Highest of Jannatul Firdous al-Aa'ala,

He won’t see his prayers, nor his fasting, nor his good deeds.

He’ll say: O Lord, this is the record of someone else, for I had good deeds that aren’t in this record!

It will be said to him: Indeed, your Lord doesn’t overlook or forget.

Your deeds have vanished because you were backbiting people!

Allah has honored the men with their beard wherein their beauty and dignity exists. Woe to the one who shaves it or abuses (styles) it!

A person like that has certainly been disobedient to his Lord openly!

I have seen that the sins kill the hearts.

The sign of knowledge that does not benefit is pride, arrogance, and conceit. Such a person seeks high position and ranking in this world and competes for it. He debates with the scholars with the aim of defeating them, and argues with the foolish with the aim of directing their attention towards him. It is reported from the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, that whoever seeks knowledge for this purpose, "for him is the Fire, the Fire!"
