Abroad

I'm beyond excited to be home and feel so blessed to have had this experience! Feels so good to be getting my laundry done, showering in my own shower, and laying out in the California sunshine.

After a successful night at our last program dinner (tear), Beer Factory with shots of absinthe, Lucerna for 80s 90s night, and a quick stop at Duplex....giving me about 2 hours of sleep before heading to the airport with a 22 hour day of traveling ahead of me, I am beyond excited to come home!! I will miss Europe but I miss America and cannot wait to see Los Angeles, layout in Orange County and eat yummy sushi! Only two flights to go!

Lunch with Erica in Prague!

Finished this book in Prague and fell in LOVE! Just under 500 pages and there was never a dull moment. This was the best way to tide me over while being in bed for 2 days healing my bug bite. The way Colleen jumps back and forth between old memories and throws in bits and pieces that all come together at the end made this book soo enjoyable...definitely recommend it! Innocent teen love story, with some family twists and turns, suspenseful too!

Vegetable Spring Rolls with peanut sauce for lunch in Prague...soooo good!

After spending the last two days (Monday and Tuesday) in bed and missing the visits, the but bite has made so much healing progress...thank god!!! Icing if has helped a ton, as well as the cream and the antibiotics. Went to dinner tonight at The Tavern and sat outside (made sure I was covered!) and had amazing burgers, fries, and drinks...definitely recommend it!

We went to dinner the other night at this delicious Lebanese restaurant when I noticed my right leg started itching. Thought nothing of it and just figured it was a little bug bite which clear up in about 1-2 days. The next day, the bite started swelling up to about the size of maybe a golf ball. That day we went through a walking tour of Prague (extremely warm out) and noticed it was getting pretty irritated and bigger in size. By the end of the day, the bite increased to at least the size of a softball. I took a Benadryl before going to bed hoping it would decrease by morning and it didn't....still the same size, if not bigger. Soo I called international SOS and they referred me to a doctor in Prague...long story short: I have to take antibiotics once daily, apply a cream twice daily, rest up for 2 days, can't be in the sun, and can't do any physical activity for about 2 days...oh and the antibiotics supposedly make me sleepy...lovely...

SUCH a good dinner at Grosseto Marina Ristorante by the Charles Bridge with a gorgeous view of Prague Castle too! Definitely recommend it! Tomato soup, Salmon, Chocolate Soufflé
