I'm sorry if you get this a lot, but how likely are we to see another pure Black aligned protag? Dipping into White seems to be the thing now for anyone who starts putting effort into more moral pursuits.
Okay well, if youβre defining βprotagonistβ as βsomeone who puts effort into moral pursuitsβ then yeah, no, thatβs just not monoblack. Black by itself sees morals as silly constraints that white-aligned people put on themselves. Black only acts in ways that others consider βmoralβ if those ways just happen to line up with its own goals anyway.
But if you mean βcan a monoblack character be a central, focal character of a story again somedayβ? Then yeah, I should hope so. Weβll get to see Lilianaβs origin story in a couple months as part of Magic Origins, for example, and sheβs the main character of her origin. :)
