"Hilarious. Really." She resists the urge to shove him- though it's a hard fought battle and in the end she has to rely on years of cultivated patience. "Are you ever going to grow out of torturing me?"
"Ah, which will be so easy." But the smile slips onto her features anyway- as much as she wants to punish him for giving her a minor heart attack, the proud sister gene is far too strong to be stifled for long. "That's great though, honestly. How is it going?"

Dan notices the way sheâd retreated from that sentence, quirking a brow, âNo, I donât think youâre an idiot, but I do know youâre smart enough not to ask whatâs in there.â He says, giving her a fanged grin.
"Itâs kind of difficult to stop being creepy when your father is someone like Vlad Masters. Itâs pretty much ingrained in my DNA and thereâs no changing it.â Throwing the bag to the side, he wiped his bloodied hands on his jumpsuitâs pants, side eyeing Jazz before asking simply,
"You were going to compare me to him, werenât youâŚ?â
Sheâs a fan of self preservation, so heâs probably right in leaving the whole subject. But thereâs also something telling her not to give him the satisfaction, as childish as it is. â- You donât have to look smug about it.â
Even the mention of the name is enough to elicit a shudder of disgust, and this time itâs enough to override the juvenile desire to get between him and satisfaction. âOkay. Point. But if you werenât aware this house is an anti creep zone. So knock it off.âÂ
"No." The reply is quick but sheâs not a good liar; even though her voice is strong she has to look away. "All Iâm saying is Iâm surrounded by people who underestimate me, I really donât need one more."
Bonnie looked at the strange redhead. "Mmm...you aren't K, are you?" she said with a snob look.
"I don't- think so." If that was a new nickname it wasn't one she'd made aware of. "I mean, everyone just calls me Jazz so I'm probably not the person you're thinking of."
"⌠Wait, have you been studying non-stop? For how long?" The redhead raised a brow and looked at the girl curiously. "I mean, you shouldnât abandon your studies, but a break would probably be a good idea.â
"Oh not you too. Of course I have! There aren't any other options I mean, if I don't study there's no scholarship and if there's no scholarship there's no college and if there's no college-" It really didn't bear thinking; she sighed like a car shuddering to a stop. "-And none of this gets done without coffee."

So- computer died on me, had to take it into Apple to get it fixed. And, insert drumroll, everything had to be wiped.
