Abnormality+ Assignments

I'll do my best to assign an Abnormality/Aberration to characters from a number of fandoms, most but not nearly all of which are listed below. You can ask for assignments for other medias as well. If I'm not familiar with the character or fandom, I'll either ask a friend, do some research or tell you that I'm not up to it.

One character per ask, please, and refrain from spamming asks. I can maybe do 2, 3 or 4 per ask if they're a duo/trio/quartet or a polycule.

Ask response time, as well as quality, length and detail of explanations may vary.

Feel free to open civil discussions in comments and reblogs or come up with your own theories and asks.

I won't post untagged/unflagged spoilers.

Medias I'm familiar with:

Project Moon (all media types): I'm fully caught up with everything and I can work with any media related to PM. Yes, I'm taking WonderLab as well.

Vocasynth (UTAU, Vocaloid, a bit of SynthV+Diffsinger): I know a lot of obscure ones, surprise me. Do be aware that their assignments will typically be based on headcanons and/or vibes.

RPG Maker games: Hello Charlotte, Yume Nikki (+fangames), OFF, Hylics, Witch's Heart, Cell of Empireo, Ib, Flesh Blood and Concrete

Animanga: Mob Psycho 100, Witch Hat Atelier (up till ch.78), Nanbaka, Skip and Loafer, Yu Yu Hakusho, Houseki no Kuni, Girls' Last Tour, Laid-Back Camp etc; I know a ton others, so you may still ask about them.

Games: Blasphemous, Pico's School, Disco Elysium (I'm only at Day 3 of my longplay though)

DO NOT MENTION: O.ne P.iec.e, H.ai.kyuu, Ko.baya.shi, T.C..OA.AL ("Incest Game"), Sa.ya no U.ta, H.az.bin+Hell.uv.a, Ra.n.fr.en and anything that's like, isekai slop, incest, lolishota, child x adult or straight up p8rn or f*tish content. Medias with some amount of sexual content, such as CSM, F&H and Sleeping Dead, are allowed.

I tried to read on them but I cannot wrap my head around BFDI lore and I couldn't really get into it either, sorry ;o;

I'm gonna be honest, I know nothing about Homestuck, the lore is daunting and I don't have any friends who are big into both HS and PM...so I'm gonna say MoSB just because it screams loudly on some attacks. Nameless Fetus also screams under certain conditions but it feels like a different kind of scream.

I haven't played this game even though I've been planning to, but I went on his wiki for a bit. Although this assignment may or may not be inaccurate, we ball.

From what I've gathered, X puts value in the potentiality of all sorts of random things and creates overly convoluted mechanisms employed to perform simple tasks.

I looked into CTRL (funni abbreviation) cuz it had gears and a bit of a wacky appearance. X's character appears to be focused on duality and extremes. The bell on CTRL precariously swings back and forth, creating a broken sound. Although seemingly off-balance, it works just fine.

⇲ PM #1: ❈ Ren ❈

❈ Scorched Girl

Ren is often associated with the monkey (Saruhide) from Hell Screen due to his connection to Araya (the daughter) and due to their relatively similar deaths. The monkey jumped into the burning carriage where the daughter was.

Scorched Girl represents a strong longing for affection which inevitably leads to her and others burning down to charcoal. (or exploding)

❈ Fragment of the Universe

"Do not attempt to understand it, just use it." ✧ "An Abnormality that resembles a child's innocent doodles." ✧ "the Abnormality consists of matter that does not exist on Earth. It is notable for its metaphysical appearance that one cannot explain with words."

FotU describes an incomprehensible being that resembles "a child's innocent doodles". It produces "tentacles" and echoes from another world which give you brain damage. You are not capable of remembering their "song" after you recover from it. I guess this Abnormality could also fit Araya in some respect, but Ren is also...quite childish. Hence why I think that the 2 aforementioned Abnormalities could fit him.

Ren is forgotten in the current timeline by everyone but Dante. I won't get into the theory that Dante is from another world right now

❈ Blue Star

Call of the void. The wish to disappear. Feeling insignificant. Wanting to become a star on the vast sky. Returning to nothingness. Worship of something bigger than oneself, a force infinitely more powerful.

❈ The Knight of Despair

Failure to protect. Forgotten hero of the past. Not necessarily a perfect fit but it's an interesting perspective to me.

❈ Pagoda Veneration

A stone-like entity is stacking rocks. The stone tower could either serve as a burial site or the purpose of making a wish. The wishes must be made sincerely, and with a steady hand. We don't know much about Ren, but I think he fits both criteria. Half-hearted wishes get ya pancaked.
