HOLD ON HEAR ME OUT.
Mk1 KITANA X BLACK DAHLIA READER
like a story with them with Kitana losing to the reader and stuff. but I need KITANANANANANANANAANNA
Kitana always wanted to understand your strength and power.
She knew you had done apparently dangerous jobs back on earth realm, telling tales to everyone at the table about the work you’ve done. Even the tales of how you survived being blinded by an aggressive target got she wanted to know how strong you could really be.
Right after dinner she grabbed you by your prosthetic arm, something you obviously didn’t expect her to do. “…you like me that much?” You joked while trying to play everything off.
“No!” Kitana replied quickly, removing her hand from your prosthetic arm. “I-i mean I tolerate you and I wanna see how strong you truly are.”
You chuckled before wiping tears from your eyes. “Oh…you’re serious?” You asked her while looking down at her. “Well, to make this a lot more interesting let’s have a bet.”
Kitana raised an eyebrow at you. “Are you certain about this?” she asked, voice calm but tinged with curiosity. “A bet… before a duel?”
You smirked, with your one hand while keeping your pistol holstered at your side. “Absolutely. The loser owes the winner whatever they want. No exceptions.”
Kitana raised an eyebrow, her lips twitching with barely restrained amusement. “And you are confident you will win?”
You smiled, the veil hiding most of your smile. “Confident enough,” you said with a grin, circling her slowly. “But if I lose… I’ll happily do whatever you desire.”
Her laugh was soft, musical, and a little surprised. “Very well. Then let us begin.”
The clash was immediate. Kitana’s fans spun in deadly arcs, each strike precise and elegant. You danced around her attacks, your movements a blend of mischief and calculated timing. One fan came dangerously close to grazing your cheek, and you ducked, rolling beneath the arc and coming up behind her in one fluid motion.
“Impressive,” Kitana admitted, spinning to face you, though her breath was slightly ragged. “But not enough.”
You chuckled, flicking your cane to intercept her fan, sparks flying where the metal struck. “Careful, Princess. I might actually win this bet.”
Her eyes flared, determination brightening the sapphire depths. “Then you shall pay the price for your boldness.”
The duel continued, a dance of steel and shadow, neither of you giving quarter. Yet as the fight progressed, it became clear that your unpredictability was edging her out. A clever feint here, a well-timed dodge there, and you found yourself pressing her to the edge of the courtyard with one final move.
With a swift sweep of your cane and a deft pivot, you sent her fan clattering to the ground. Kitana froze, caught off guard as your pistol pressed lightly against her side—not enough to harm, only to assert victory.
For a long moment, the world seemed to shrink to the two of you, chest heaving, eyes locked. Kitana’s hands hovered near her fallen fans, pride warring with the undeniable reality: she had lost.
“I… you’ve won,” she said, her voice softer now, almost uncertain.
“Looks that way,” you replied, a playful tilt in your smile. “So… about that bet?”
Her eyebrows lifted. “The winner may ask anything,” she said, regaining a hint of her regal composure, though there was a flicker of curiosity in her gaze.
You stepped closer, letting your gloved fingers brush hers. “I could ask for riches. Power. Perhaps… a favor.”
Kitana’s breath caught. “And what would you desire?”
Your smirk softened, warmth creeping into your expression. “A date,” you said simply. “Dinner. A walk. Perhaps… a chance to see if the Princess of Edenia is as charming off the battlefield as she is on it.”
Her lips parted slightly, caught between disbelief, pride, and intrigue. “You… you would ask such a thing of me?”
“Why not?” you teased, tilting your head. “I won, didn’t I? Surely a fair victor deserves a reward.”
Kitana’s eyes softened, a faint blush coloring her cheeks beneath the moonlight. She straightened, regaining some of her royal poise but allowing a tiny smile to slip through. “Very well,” she murmured. “I… accept your offer. But know this—I will not make it easy.”
You laughed softly, stepping just close enough that the warmth of your presence brushed against hers. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The air between you shifted, tension melting into something far more intimate. The courtyard, once a battlefield, felt smaller, warmer, charged with anticipation. Kitana’s hand lingered near yours as she searched your face, sapphire eyes glinting with a mixture of challenge and curiosity.
“Do not think this bet grants you… everything,” she warned softly, her tone teasing yet tinged with vulnerability.
“Not everything,” you admitted, letting your fingers entwine with hers. “But maybe a start.”
Her lips curved into a faint smile. “A dangerous start,” she murmured.
Leaning closer, you whispered, “I prefer dangerous.”
Then, without another word, you closed the distance. Your lips met hers in a soft, tentative kiss at first—an assertion of victory that felt more like connection. Kitana’s eyes fluttered closed, and the tension between pride and curiosity melted into warmth. When she finally returned the kiss, it carried the same intensity she had wielded with her fans—strong, precise, yet undeniably tender.
Pulling back just slightly, you rested your forehead against hers. “Deal?” you asked softly.
Kitana’s sapphire eyes glimmered, the battle replaced by something new—something unspoken but shared. “Deal,” she whispered.
And in that moonlit courtyard, the bet was settled. Not with weapons or skill, but with a kiss that promised more duels, more laughter, and a growing affection neither of you had anticipated.
