My June was fucking horrendous at work and it meant I fell way behind with Pit Babe 2. Exhaustion will do that to you! Now Iām on holiday, itās catch up time. So far, 3 episodes done. Only 4 more to go to make sure Iām all caught up for Fridayās final episode. Having seen a lot of the spoilers, Iām a little bit terrified of what Iām about to see! š±
Saw people speculating that Jeff is pregnant following the hungry comment during the Alan/Jeff and Charlie/Babe dinner and it got me thinking.
Suppose Jeff is pregnant, what if thatās the reason for his powers being enhanced? Iād thought after last weekās episode that perhaps Jeff had been dosed with Tonyās skill-enhancing drug rather than the skill-nullifying drug that Peteās company are researching. However, with people bringing up the Jeff is pregnant angle, I had another theory.
What if the reason that Jeff canāt control his visions currently is due to pregnancy hormones? Or perhaps itās like the super power equivalent of morning sickness?
The reason that Jeff can now feel whatās happening in his visions isnāt because his own power has been enhanced but because his and Alanās baby has powers. What if the child heās carrying is an empath and thatās why Jeff is feeling what happens to the people he sees in his visions?
Come on Change, donāt let us down! Go all out and give us the mpreg! š
The Kim rescuing Kenta scene looked great in the trailer but seeing it in the episode? Even better than I was expecting! The look between them was brilliant! Only problem I had with it was the editing that made it look like Kenta teleported into the car and letās face facts, if Kenta could teleport, he never needed Kim to bail him out! I just needed that split second moment of Kenta clambering into the car and Kim speeding off the moment Kentaās ass hit the seat!
Garfield has been phenomenal so far! His facial expressions are perfect! My heart broke for Kenta after he walked in on Pete and Chris and then even more so when he talked about the 2 people in his life that he loved not loving him back. I canāt wait to see Kim help heal Kenta! Kim gives 100% to everything and Kenta is going to be the lucky man who gets his heart and treated so fucking good, and for someone who has never felt loved before, he deserves every second of the love and devotion that Kim is going to bestow upon him!
Is Benz really that much smaller than Garfield or was it just clever camera angles?
Alan and Jeff remain my favourite couple but Kenta and Kim (even if theyāre not a couple yet) have risen up to second place. I didnāt expect them to overtake North and Sonic but since weāre getting this stupid friend zone angle with them, itās not been the same joy that Iāve gotten from them. Get my two loved up boys together and things might change but for now, Garfield and Benzās chemistry has reeled me in, hook, line and sinker!
Oh Alan! That man is so in love! Jeffās a lucky guy! š„°
Charlie and Babe showing that all of the problems in their relationship could be solved if they actually spoke to each other.
There is no trust in Charlie and Babeās relationship. How is it ever supposed to work without trust? Charlie does have a legit reason for not fully trusting Babe right now because Babe has been really secretive and extremely suspicious but surely it would be better to talk to him about it rather than sneak looks at his phone? As for Babe, why hasnāt he told Charlie about his suspicions about Willy? Thereās no reason for him not telling him that he thinks Willy is shady as fuck! I get the need to create tension and drama with the main couple, yet this just feels really lazy.
Babe has been shown to be strong throughout both season 1 and 2, so wondering what angle weāre looking at in regards to how he couldnāt stop Willy attempting to sexually assault him? Is it due to shock or is it linked to Willyās special powers? Does he have more than his super speed and he could either mentally restrain Babe or have super strength that made it to easy for him to subdue Babe?
Sassy Chris is the perfect role for Nut.
Nut and Ping are just ensuring that my desperation to watch them together in Iām the Most Beautiful Count keeps rising.
What is Chrisā game? The files he looked at on Peteās computer donāt exactly fit with what someone working with Tony would be looking for but it was still quite suspicious. And did he know Wayās birthday because he researched him or is it because itās his birthday too? (Still hoping for being twins rather than Way still being alive.)
After hearing Sonic complain about being friend zoned and moving on despite his feelings for him, why didnāt North go for it? Heās just heard the guy heās in love with admit that the feelings are mutual so it was the perfect time to speak up! I get wanting to eke out the 2 getting together but itās just gotten silly plot wise.
You can not convince me otherwise that Sailub and Pavel didnāt love every second of hitting Michael! Poor Michael! š
Hey, look at me managing to get my thoughts on episode 4 down before we reach the day before the next episode comes out! š
Alan and Jeff are back to being happy in love! All is right in the world! Or at least for now! š
As much as I would have liked to see them fix things quickly (purely because I adore Alan and Jeff a completely unhealthy amount š), the wait was necessary. Alan needed Jeff to communicate with him, to show that he trusted him, that they were equals in their relationship. Jeff saying sorry over and over again, whilst it showed he was upset over what happened, it wasnāt enough but he listened to Alanās hints, and some of Charlieās advice, to figure out what he needed to do to fix his relationship. And Iām so glad we got the healthy communication before they had sex or Jeff had another vision because otherwise, the whole need for Jeff to properly apologise would have been worthless!
Pon and Sailubās chemistry is amazing and this episode showed that once again. It doesnāt matter if itās an NC scene or just a nice simple romantic moment, the chemistry just oozes from them.
You do not get to tease me with a future proposal and marriage of Alan and Jeff and then give me a sad ending! Just look at them and tell me that the world (ie. Me) would not be a happier place with a loved up, happily married Alan and Jeff as the credits roll on season 2 of Pit Babe!
I need to see more of Jeff and Babeās friendship. Look how worried Babe is after Jeffās vision.
I know Iām probably in the minority but Babe and Charlie together, at times, are annoying. In season 1, so often we got a spineless Charlie who just followed Babe around, switching between a whipping boy and a sheep. In season 2, weāve got Babe either being an asshole unnecessarily to Charlie or going way OTT in his concern. Perhaps I just expected to get a positive manifestation of how 2 strong, alphas could love each other without either one of them seeming weak. š¤·š¼āāļø
Kim still being Kim - he might be small but he takes no shit! Kenta, I donāt think youāre ready for what being around Kim is going to do to you but Iām so ready to watch it all unfold!
Oh Kenta! Did you really think the guy you were threatening with a knife was going to stick around for you to potentially kill him whilst you checked out what Pete wanted to show you? š¤¦š¼āāļø
I really do like how different personality-wise Cris and Way are. Iāve said it before but I really hope they donāt end up going with the Cris is Way storyline.
Ping and Nut have me sold! I already planned on watching it, but now Iām desperate for āIām the Most Beautiful Countā.
The Pit Babe writers just get their villains right! Willy is just a complete and utter little shit! š I switch between him being one of Tonyās guys and him just being an ass that has the hots for Babe and willing to go to any lengths to get him.
Never thought Iād say this but I actually felt sorry for Winner in this episode. Winner is an asshole, and in season 1, he loved throwing his weight around, acting like the big, tough man. However, you cannot convince me that at any point, he wanted to kill Manit - just look at his facial expression. He went through with it because but heās terrified of Tony and that fear just got magnified tenfold when he realised that Tony was not as vulnerable as he was making out to be.
No North and Sonic should be a crime!
From the teaser, please tell me Sonic is blind because that is the only way he could possible think that heās been friend zoned? I suspected that we were going to have a slow burn for these two (which is crazy given weāve known since very early in season 1 that they were both head over heels in love with the other!) but I didnāt realise just how slow they were going to be!
Theory - Jeff has already been given Tonyās serum to boost powers under the guise of giving him the one to rid him of his powers by Tonyās mole. Given that Jeffās powers were stronger before Cris came on the scene, I donāt believe heās the mole. I want to say itās Liu as sheās the one that was showing Charlie the pictures of Babe and Willy together so thereās a chance sheās trying to create tension in more ways than just screwing up their power nullifying serum. However, I think Iām probably going to be wrong and itāll be Touch.

One of these days, Iāll actually post this straight after Iāve watched the show rather than saving it to my drafts to read over when Iām not struggling to stay awake and then forgetting about it for days! š
I know Alan and Jeffās angsty storyline was about to start but I didnāt expect to see Alan giving Jeff the cold shoulder for the whole episode. I need to keep repeating to myself āAlan and Jeff happy endingā to make sure Iām manifesting it.
Jeff is young and new to relationships, heās also grown up in a way that makes it hard to be open and trusting, and heās also used to people not caring about him for anything other than his powers. Itās understandable that when something happens, Jeff reverts back to old habits and hopefully, this wobble in their relationship is the catalyst for Jeff maturing and trusting Alan 100%.
Alan, however, needs to remember Jeffās upbringing and lack of knowledge of relationships and show him how they should be communicating. Giving Jeff the cold shoulder isnāt the right way to go about it, no matter how hurt he is, if he wants them to get to the point that they are totally honest with each other every time. He needs to give Jeff the chance to make amends, to repair their relationship by talking - he doesnāt need to forgive him straight away but at least show Jeff that the only way forward for them is 100% communication.
I just hope that theyāve started to mend things before Jeffās next vision. I donāt want Jeff being hurt by what he sees to be the catalyst for them to move on together. I want it to be because theyāve started talking to each other. Jeff being hurt can cement the deal to them being okay with each other because until theyāve started talking, they wonāt learn anything about navigating their relationship together if all is forgiven because one of them gets hurt.
Babe gets hurt. Babe canāt drive. Babe says heās racing. Alan doesnāt stop him. Babe races. Feels like weāve seen this before. š§
Kenta and Kim as āroommatesā explains how these two are going to fall for each other. Itās going to be so fun to watch the tension build between them!
So looks like Willyās power is speed. If heās one of Tonyās test subjects, Iām assuming his power has been boosted enough to channel it through his car and other objects as long as heās touching it.
Why does it feel too easy to have the drug to strip powers work by episode 3? Is this drug going to be the reason Charlie loses his memories rather than be the answer to their prayers?
The North and Sonic crumbs with the lucky pin was not enough! I need more of these two! They should have been canon in the first series and now theyāre making us wait and going the slow burn route for 2 characters that we already know are so in love with each other - itās so obvious that the only people who donāt know are North and Sonic!
Looks like weāre about to get the start of the messiness that is the Pete and Cris relationship. Itās going to be hot but really messy! Pete loves Way and if Cris really isnāt Way (and I hope he isnāt!), then heās going to end up hurting the two of them (or at least until we get the inevitable falling in love moment).
Alan and Jeff remain my favourite pairing. Their sweet moments are brilliant but I have a feeling that the angst Pon and Sailub hinted at in the promotion for the series, is fast coming upon us. Just give me my Alan and Jeff happy ending, alright?
Pon did a fantastic job portraying Jeffās pain following his vision. His facial expressions and body language, particularly the way he held his right arm and his tone of voice were spot on!
Garfield and Pon might be fighting it out for best performance. Garfieldās facial expressions when rejecting Tony and when he was staring straight down the barrel of a gun were amazing!
Kenta has grown in the year thatās past. Heās no longing the pathetic, mistreated wee boy that would do everything Tony demanded in the hopes of finally getting Tonyās love. He gets that Tony never did and never will love him, he stood up to him when he stabbed him last year, a cathartic moment for him, and knows that despite Tony still being alive, he only wants Kenta around for manipulating and bullying him to do his bidding. He probably also knows that eventually, Tony would try to kill him, either when something goes wrong or once his plan has worked, because there is no way an asshole like Tony is ever going to let someone who tried to kill him live.
Iām really looking forward to seeing how Kentaās storyline plays out. And not just his romance with Kim!
These are the North and Sonic moments I need!
Iām trying to decide if Sonic is being awkward and avoiding North because he knows how he feels but doesnāt want to act on it because he plans to go back to France for school or if heās avoiding him because, despite his feelings for North, heās seeing someone in France and doesnāt want to hurt North. The phone call makes me think thereās a boyfriend but I really wouldnāt be surprised if it was something else!
While I found it hard to accept Charlie as the feral alpha, there was definitely something hot about the top-ripping moment! š„µ
Why are we getting moments of Babe being an asshole to Charlie? Itās very reminiscent of their earlier moments in series 1 before Babe fell head over heels for Charlie, and to be honest, really doesnāt fit with the loved up version of Babe we usually get. Is this linked to his trauma over Wayās death?
They really are trying to get us to believe that Cris is Way but I donāt think he is. Or perhaps, Iām hoping we wonāt get 2 miraculous comebacks from the dead in one series.
I really like Willy as a villain. Milk is doing a good job as Willy and hopefully Change 2561ās track record of good villains (the proper kind you love to hate) continues through to the conclusion of Willyās storyline.
Willy has a special power, right? Perhaps something to do with manipulation? If Iām right with the power thing, I think heās one of Tonyās test subjects, and Iām leaning to Tonyās experimentation strengthen his power rather than it being completely new.
Dean is definitely working for Tony and will betray the group again but I donāt believe heās the person Tony was talking about destroying X-Hunter. Dean is just too scared, pathetic and easy to manipulative to be the big source of trouble with X-Hunter.
Poor Alanās family loyalty is going to hurt them again. š„ŗ
I think the traitor is Liu, the researcher. What was the need to show Charlie the picture of Babe and Willy in the bar unless you have an ulterior motive such as causing friction between Charlie and Babe? It would also fit with Tonyās experimentations as he has someone who can help him make a drug/treatment to let people gain powers but also have someone on the inside of Peteās lab to screw up their progress to nullify peopleās skills.
The boys are back! This ended up being longer than I intended! š
Iām glad that theyāre showing that Babe is still affected by Wayās death, even after a year on. They could quite easily have used the year time jump to ignore it and have it appear like Babe has processed it all but they havenāt, which is a good thing. Babe went through an extremely traumatic series of events and it makes sense that heās still dealing with his feelings regarding Wayās betrayal but also his grief over his best friend being killed in front of him because he was saving Babeās life. I just hope it isnāt something that they forget about in the first few episodes or rush his healing so it ends that part of the storyline quicker than it really should.
Alan and Jeff! Oh, how Iāve missed these two!
Most of our Alan and Jeff moments were sweet but since theyāve already started setting up their hiding things from each other, or at least on Jeffās part, it really isnāt going to be long before we get bombarded with their angsty moments, is it?
I can cope (just) with angst for my favourite couple in this series as long as my payoff is a happy ending for the two of them. If it isnāt clear, I need Alan and Jeff happily married by the time the credits roll on the final episode.
North and Sonic together still bring so much joy with their relationship. Loved the acknowledgement of the fact that itās obvious these two have been attracted to each other for years - they really should have been canon in season 1! And Alan playing matchmaker is hilarious but also kind of fitting given how much they helped him with his own relationship.
I want them to get together quickly but after Alanās comment, I fear the slow burn coming! Just give us loved up and together North and Sonic now!
Kim resigning from X-Hunter is so in character. Kim made it clear in the first season that he wanted to beat the best, in the right way, in order to be the best. Heās not going to want to sit back and sacrifice his own chances of winning, even if it is in the best interests of the team.
I need a really good reason as to how Tony survived. Before watching the first episode of season 2, I rewatched Pit Babe (again! š) and with how much blood we could see Tony lying in, he really should be dead. I do wonder if itās going to turn out that Tony has special powers himself or if itās to do with one of his adopted children having the power to heal someone, but I need it explained and it better be good.
Charlie wasnāt one of my favourite characters in the 1st series so Iām interested to see if that changes. I did prefer him when he was confronting Willy so thereās a possibility, he becomes more likeable to me in this season.
I really liked Popās facial expressions. Winner was a great villain in the first series, largely due to him being weasly and rather spineless so seeing how terrified he looked (my first thought upon seeing him after Dean was shot at was it looked like he had crapped himself - always a great way to show how majorly terrified someone is! š) fit with the character.
Garfield should be required to wear that top for the full series! š« The man looked fucking amazing! Sorry, not sorry! š¤
Please, please, please donāt take too long before Kenta gets away from Tony! Stabbing Tony was a colossal moment for Kenta and if we have to watch him be treated like shit as one of Tonyās lackeys for most of the series, itās a waste of him finally having the courage to stand up to Tony and do the right thing. Plus, we really donāt want to put Garfield and Benzās amazing chemistry on the sidelines for too long - we need the time to see their bond grow given whatās happened between them previously.
Tony and Winner were great villains in the first series so Iām hoping that they can manage to make Willyās villain era just as successful.
Dean ran and then apparently got shot but Iām not buying it. With the teaser for next episode showing a new mechanic being brought in, you got to assume itās Dean and heās Tonyās mole/spy in X-Hunter.
Glad that weāre not doing the Chris is actually Way storyline (or at least it appears weāre not). It would have ruined Wayās sacrifice in his attempts to make amends for what he did. I donāt mind if they go down the route of him being Wayās twin that was separated from him so early in their lives that they donāt remember each other but Iād prefer it to be only 1 miraculous return from the dead in the series.
Given how Pete is still so in love with Way, I already feel sorry for Chris.
Babe losing the race was a must. It makes it more interesting seeing him lose sometimes and gives the future races more excitement because the result could go either way.
Willyās got powers that help him with racing, right? Perhaps similar to Babeās? Or maybe even the exact same as a result of Tonyās experimentations?
Predicting that Babe is not, and will not at any point, cheat on Charlie even if thatās what some of the snippets of future episodes are trying to get us to believe.
A little late but Iām finally getting round to posting some thoughts about the teaser trailer for the second series of Pit Babe. I canāt wait for May 2nd to finally get more of these boys!
From what has been mentioned in interviews so far, Iāve accepted that Iām going to have a lot of angst with Alan and Jeff in this series but Iām optimistic (a rarity for me š) that we will get a happy ending for them. Thatās why Iām banking on this beautiful moment happening after all the shit has hit the fan, and we get an engagement (although I would love it to end with their actual wedding! šš¼)
Is Jeff suffering nose bleeds because of too many visions or is it linked to the injections Charlie got from Reval in the first series that would rid them of his powers? š§
Perhaps this is why Cris is involved in the season? Either heās helping sort this problem or his work has caused the problem? Now Iāve written that, Iām now starting to wonder if Cris is going to be more similar to Way in that he appears to be a good guy but thereās something more sinister lurking under the surface? š§
The worry on Alanās face - these two are going to kill me in this series! š Given the look on Jeffās face, I think heās had a vision that shows Alan getting hurt (or worse š) and thatās the reason for the traumatic shocked face he has. Although, another possibility is that heās just found out heās pregnant (so long as Change 2561 are willing to go all out in their series with the Omega verse despite the authorās change of heart) and heās looking at his baby daddy for the first time since heās found out, which I wouldnāt be surprised if he finds out though a vision rather than from any legit medical professional/test.
North and Sonic! This should have been canon in the first series so hopefully we donāt have to wait too long for our two loved up boys to actually get their act together and make things official!
Iāve got to admit, after the first series, I was more a fan of the thought of Pete and Kenta (the sexual tension was š„š„µ) than Kenta and Kim, however, after seeing what they could do in This Love Doesnāt Have Long Beans, Iām so ready for Kenta and Kim! Plus, look at Kimās face before he kisses Kenta - the boy is down bad!
I do like that brooding Kenta isnāt being given a sunshine-y lover. Instead heās getting someone who values doing the right thing. With the previous series showing us just how fucked up Kenta was due to Tony, he needs someone who can help build him back up and encourage him to do the right thing (like stabbing Tony in the 1st series finale) and help him to realise that he is a good person and deserves the chance to live a happy life.
Obviously with it being a teaser trailer, we donāt know how involved Kenta will be with Tony but I really hope heās not back to being his whipping boy and grovelling to him. It would be a total āfuck youāto what he did to Tony in the finale if, after standing up to him and trying to stop him hurting anyone else, heās back to being Tonyās puppet. Kenta deserves to be on the hero side this season and be shown the love and support and friendship that Tonyās other adopted sons have gotten from being a part of X-Hunter - heās just as much a victim as they were and will have just as much trauma, if not more, as they do from their upbringing.
This series is going to make us spontaneously combust from the hotness that it their NC scenes. We already know what Pooh and Pavel, Sailub and Pon and Garfield and Benz can give us but add Nut and Ping to the mix, Iām not sure we can survive! However, what a fucking way to go! š
Before we get the real trailer, I want to go on record to say that I hope Cris isnāt Way. As much as I would have liked to see Pete and Way get a happy ending together, Way managed in his dying act to earn a little redemption (note the word a little not complete!) by sacrificing himself to save his friends/family. If he somehow survived it and then hid this from them, especially after they mourned his death, it would completely undermine his actions by doing the right thing and saving them. Plus with Tony being back from the dead (or saved - boo! š), it would be too much to have a similar plot device with Way. Itās better to have Way stay dead and have Cris be a completely separate character, whether they are related or not.
I quite enjoyed this special episode, more than I thought I would given how disappointed I was with the final episode of the actual series.
Just curious, does every version of Cir and Phuās storyline involve one of them being a stalker?
I would have preferred to stick with this parallel world Phu and Cir for the whole episode rather than return to our original Phu and Cir since we already got so much of their story through the series.
I do think they missed an opportunity to delve into a few different versions of Phu and Cir in this special episode, particularly the version of Businessman Cir who got shot that we saw briefly in the series. (And no, Iām not just saying that because I want to see more of Boss in a form-fitting suit - that would just be a very lovely bonus! š)
The one plus side to returning to the original Cir and Phu was that NC scene. š« That hand of Nouelās š³ (if youāve seen it, you know the bit Iām talking about) shows just how comfortable these two are with each other.
I know Boss is taller than Nouel but this shot makes Nouel look so fucking tiny in comparison! Their body language is brilliant because Nouel is making himself so small with the hunched back and then his hands against his legs making him thinner whilst Boss appears wider due to the manspreading (so not complaining! š), his arms pointing diagonally outwards and then the slight tilt of his head to look down at Nouel, it all just adds up perfectly to get over that size difference but also highlighting the power imbalance between them, largely due to how shy Phu is compared to Cirās confidence/arrogance. š«
I really enjoyed the scenes with Wim and Jin in the series and once again, I really enjoyed them in the special episode. Iād really like to see what Donut and Forth could do if they were given a lead role. Hell, Iād be happy with a short series featuring Wim and Jin getting together based on the special episodeās version of the pairing just to test out how they might do rather than throw them into a longer series.

I went on a journey with this show. It started off with a very strong dislike (close to hatred but not quite due to the existence of delightful secondary characters), got to the point where it was ok/tolerable and then ended with me loving it (just to be clear here, Iām meaning the last third of the series, definitely not the whole series).
I was close to giving up watching this several times in the first 8 episodes. Arc and Arm as a main pairing were terrible. They were much more likeable during Gun/Yotha and Faifa/Wineās storylines and if only this like-ability had been captured in their actual storyline, this show would have been much better for it. Unfortunately, that wasnāt the case and if it wasnāt for their arc (no pun intended) featuring Po, Sand, Pond, Warm and Cop, it would have been unbearable to watch. The character development of the main pairing was severely lacking - Arc in particular remained an asshole until we got to the other pairings storylines so it was hard to get behind them and actually want to see them get together.
Gun and Yothaās storyline was a huge improvement on Arc and Armās. They were more likeable individually and whilst there were aspects of their storyline that I hated (hello Yotha/Faifaās mum!) or disliked (Wa forgiving Klao so easily for his red flag behaviour, some of Yothaās behaviour towards Gun), the more enjoyable moments outweighed the bad. At least with Yotha, we could see his character development and as a result, I could get behind these two getting together. One of the downsides in this arc was the friendship group. Apart from Faifa, the friend group didnāt really bring much to the show. Since we barely saw any of them in the final 8 episodes, it just makes it seem like Gunās friends were solely there to give their actors something to do because they couldnāt fit them in one of their other series that they were filming.
As for Faifa and Wineās storyline, it wasnāt perfect but it was enjoyable with the exception of one thing (hello Yotha/Faifaās mum!). There was so much character development and relationship building in these 7 episodes (Iām not counting the final episode as part of their storyline), that you couldnāt help but route for these 2 to get together. They made each other better people, they communicated with each other, they tackled their problems together and they made each other feel like the most special person in the world - they were just a perfect pairing!
As for the final episode, it was just total filler and completely underwhelming. If you donāt watch it, you really arenāt missing out on much. Yes, we got Klao and Waās engagement, but they were a secondary couple, who got about 15 minutes of screen time up until this point, so it doesnāt really bring much to the actual storyline of the 3 main couples.
I tend to measure a series like-ability on how much I want to go back and rewatch it. As for this show, I have no intention of rewatching anytime soon and if I did rewatch it, Iād be skipping straight to episode 17 when Faifa and Wine become the main pairing and finishing at episode 23. š¤·š¼āāļø
Communication is vital in a relationship and these two have nailed it!
I didnāt like Yotha and Faifaās mum during Yothaās arc, and I still donāt like her. Sheās a fucking grown-up but canāt take responsibility for her own actions. Yes, Faifaās dad and brothers should have made sure he knew she wasnāt coming but it was her responsibility to tell him that she didnāt need him to pick her up at the airport.
Wine told Faifa that he didnāt need to pretend to be happy around him and it was so satisfying to see that Faifa listened to him and didnāt try to hide his disappointment following his mumās visit. It was also so good to see how Wine reacted to that moment - he just hugged him, gave him the support he needed and allowed Faifa to voice what he needed to and was there to validate Faifaās feelings.
Can we just thank the stylists for how good Ohm looked as Tor?
Junior and Markās facial expressions were brilliant during the scene where they bumped into Tor. Wine was surprised but for the viewers, we could see that there wasnāt any hint of interest in Tor anymore but Faifa couldnāt see that. Faifaās devastation was so subtle but fuck, was it heartbreaking to see! At this moment, this poor loved up boy, who finally got the chance to feel what it was like to have someone care for and love him more than anyone else ever has, and he thinks heās about to lose that, and what makes it sadder is that, because we know Faifa so well by this point, we know that if it was what Wine really wanted, he would have sacrificed his own feelings to make Wine happy. š
Iām really glad that they didnāt drag out the misunderstanding and they went straight to Wine clarifying his feelings and telling Faifa that all along, everything they were doing was all so he could spend time with Faifa. Faifa deserves someone who sees him as special and treats him accordingly and heās got that in Wine. It also made sense because all along, communication has been key to their burgeoning relationship.
The stupid sound effects when Gun was bringing the bouquet to Faifa and Wine were so off putting! This was supposed to be a serious and romantic moment but the choice of effects made it veer too close to slapstick comedy (and not the good kind).
There were some really cringy moments with the newly coupled up Faifa and Wine. I should have hated it but since I like this pairing so much, I was surprisingly ok with the cringe! š
I loved Wine using Faifaās line about solving their problems. It showed that they are both in this together, as equals. Itās amazing maturity in the youngest couple and just further proof that their relationship is the most solid out of all the pairings we have!
I didnāt like the forgiveness storyline with Yotha and his mum and I didnāt like it with Faifa and her either. She claims she loves all her children equally but her actions donāt show that! Yotha tells her he loves her and despite claiming she loves him equally, SHE DOESNāT SAY IT BACK! Like holy fuck! That boy needed his mum to show him how much he means to her and she failed miserably! Not to mention, it took Gun telling her about Faifaās feelings for her to act yet she claims she knows he has been unhappy for years, but what efforts did she make in all that time to rectify that? Nothing! Even if you felt that you werenāt getting anywhere in breaking down his walls, KEEP FUCKING TRYING BECAUSE HEāS YOUR SON! š¤¬
As much as I enjoy seeing Po on our screens, even if it is just briefly, it would have been better if weād see mention of Po being in a relationship rather than just jump into the heartbroken (but really itās only in here for the not-funny-comedy crap) Po who was apparently about to propose before being dumped.
Hello Pond and Sand! Itās nice to see you even if it is just for a few minutes!
As much as I wish they had gone a different route with Klao and Wa and had them break up given how toxic their relationship was, there is no denying that Aou and Boom have fantastic chemistry! It still amazes me that GMMTV havenāt given them a lead role in a series - one of the storylines in Mu-Te-Luv would have been a perfect trial run! At least, one positive to the Ohm/Leng partnership ending is that Aou and Boom have the addition of main roles in Only Friends 2 to go along with their existing roles in Memoir of Rati. However, they deserved the spotlight before that anyway. Hopefully this year will lead to them getting their own series in 2026.
Not sure Iād be going to my partnerās ex for help proposing! š¤·š¼āāļø
Arm the wedding planner? Oh fuck! Someone save me! š
Faifa and Wineās storyline really has turned this series around for me. I really didnāt enjoy the Arc/Arm episodes and although Yotha/Gunās was an improvement on it, there were still moments where I wondered why I should keep watching. However, thanks to Faifa/Wine, itās made sticking it out until the end worth it to see these two fall in love.
Whilst theyāre not a couple yet, Faifa and Wineās storyline is doing all the right things to give them a healthy, long-lasting, loving relationship. They communicate with each other so well. They give each other a safe place to be themselves and feel however they feel without the need to mask it. Theyāre giving each other the time they need to realise their feelings, process them and then act on them without pushing the other to do something theyāre not ready for.
I like that whenever Wine has a moment of doubt about whether Faifa sees him as more special than everyone else, he gets a reminder from Faifa, or someone who really knows him, that Faifa does see him as more important than everyone else and he is truly his special person. Wine needs this reassurance as he comes to terms with his feelings for Faifa but also as he comes to terms with how it is okay for him to like men because he needs to know that he isnāt putting his heart on the line for nothing.
One of the few things in this arc that does annoy me is the meddling from Arm, Gun, Yotha and, I suppose to a slightly lesser extent, Arc. Faifa and Wineās relationship development has been healthier than these two couples by a country mile, but you just know that this lot are going to try to do something about it and end up causing problems. (With 3 episodes left, Iād be surprised if their meddling didnāt end up causing issues between Faifa and Wine.)
I liked how understanding Ben was about Wine confiding in him about his feelings for Faifa. The fact that he said that Wine didnāt need to tell him is so important because for queer people, how open they are about who they love is their business. If a straight person doesnāt have to tell everyone that they like someone of the opposite sex and can just be in relationships with them, why canāt queer people?
With the little mentions of Tor, when are we actually going to see him? Iām looking forward to the moment Wine tells him heās not interested but I get the feeling, Tor will be used to create some unnecessary angst between Faifa and Wine (possibly linked to the 4 idiots meddling). Perhaps Iāll be wrong on the angst thing and it will be used to have Wine confirm his love for Faifa and give us their happy ending!
I hated the forgiveness storyline in Yotha/Gunās arc for Yotha and Faifaās mother because it was so undeserved and this was proven right by the storyline involving poor Faifa waiting, unnecessarily, for her at the airport. Failing to tell all your children that you wonāt be coming to see them is a shitty thing but even worse when the one child you donāt tell, is the one that you were relying on to pick you up. I just know that this storyline is going to end up with Faifa forgiving his mum as well as Yotha and Newton, but I actually wish the writers had the balls to have Faifa refuse to forgive her because sheās caused him so much hurt, made him feel so unloved and unimportant that he finally decides sheās not worth the continuing trauma. It will never happen but it would be fucking amazing if it did!
Considering Gun is supposed to be Faifaās friend, why didnāt he insist Yotha phone Faifa to make sure he knew that their mother wasnāt coming and he was wasting his time?
Pond and Sand! Their appearances from episode 9 onwards have been brief but make me so happy every time!
With this likely to be the last time we see Tawan, are we finally going to get to see who he gave his bracelet too? Tay/New couple cameo upcoming?
Not much really happened in this episode, largely due to them trying to clarify their folklore on vampires and set up the story.
It wasnāt a bad episode, there were some moments that were enjoyable but by the end, it felt a bit more like a filler episode. Not sure thatās a good thing after only 2 episodes though.
I did like how their vampire folklore was explored with Tongās terrible attempts to get away from Mark by using his knowledge of vampireās weaknesses and watching his attempts fail miserably.
The garlic throwing scene was quite amusing and did enough to make me laugh aloud, which is something GMMTVās comedy attempts usually fail to do for me.
Please tell me Iām not the only one who found Mondās random bursts of English to be sexy?
Weāve just got a couple of glimpses but I think Mond has the potential to be a good villain but he might end up being the villain you love rather than the one you hate. Although, thatās not always a bad thing, in this show, I really am hoping he ends up being the villain you hate!
Having not seen any of Jossās previous work, is he acting stiff as Mark by choice or is that just his style? If itās just this show, Iām curious if weāll see him relax more as he falls further for Tong.
I quite liked the glimpses of Tongās cockier side whenever he thought heād manage to get one up on Mark. It makes his character more interesting than it would have been if he was just being portrayed as the naive, scared Tong that weāve seen most of the time.
Is it magic tears or magic sweat to go along with the golden blood? Not that it matters really which one it was but it does create some questions about other bodily fluids and their potential powers that Iām not sure weāll get the answers to - although that might end up being a good thing! š
Tharaās power of visions is weakening. The police officer vampire mentioned not feeling right. Connected or not? I get the feeling that weāll discover more vampires are getting weaker and believe that the golden blood is the cure that the vampires need to regain their strength, especially as weāve seen what a small drop of Tongās blood has done for Markās sense of smell, so logic would dictate that more of his blood would make someone extremely powerful, possibly unstoppable.
Hello foreshadowing! Mark claiming he wonāt touch another drop of Tongās blood has just sealed the deal on him having more!
It didnāt make sense that Mark made Tong run when he started bleeding - gaping plot holes here! Reasons being:
We just spent the first episode dealing with Mark trying to keep Tong safe from all the other vampires out there who would smell his blood and want it. Surely, sending him bleeding into the streets of Bangkok is just going to attract the vampires that youāve just told us in this episode walk the streets at daytime and as youāve stated on several occasions, really, really badly want the golden blood! š¤¦š¼āāļø
Mark has the power to heal Tong so surely it would have made sense to heal him quickly to stop the bloodlust and avoid sending him out unprotected into a city filled with vampires who can only smell blood! š¤¦š¼āāļø
So, I watched the trailer for the vampires. I watched the first episode for Joss and his tighty whities. I stayed for the drool worthy sight of Joss, wet and in those fucking black trunks! Can this sight be a requirement for every episode please? Sorry, I really am that shallow! š¤·š¼āāļø
I mean look at him? Can you blame me for becoming a drooling 𤤠mess? š (I really want to be sorry butā¦)
Drooling aside, I really enjoyed the first episode and how it is starting to set up the story.
I love fiction involving vampires and whilst some of the CGI moments are a little dodgy, Iām intrigued with the idea of the different powers they have and just how bad things could get if too much of Tongās blood is drank.
A great job was done in getting the viewer to sympathise with Tong through the flashbacks to his childhood.
I like the dynamic between Tong and Tonkla, especially during their time at the orphanage.
Gawin did a great job at portraying Tong when he was shy and scared. His facial expressions and body language showed the differing emotions so clearly without feeling forced.
For now, Mark is very aloof so it will be interesting to see how this changes as he falls for Tong.

For a final episode, this was bad. Itās not the worst but itās also way off the mark of even being considered a semi-good one!
I felt like episode 9 was a bit flat for a penultimate episode and that I wasnāt sure everything could be satisfactorily wrapped up in the last episode, and I was right.
Phu and Cirās break-up/argument after the truth came out should have started in episode 9 rather than being saved solely for the last episode. It was too rushed in this episode and as a result, it didnāt allow for that emotional connection to be built. As it was the last episode, I was fairly certain they would get a happy ending so why would I care about their brief separation? There was no jeopardy!
The storyline involving Cirās mother was a fucking joke! This woman deserved to get her comeuppance but instead, sheās getting to keep on living her life, making one of her sonās life a misery, and weāre supposed to accept that Cir, who sacrificed himself as a child for his younger brother by staying with their mother, would just walk away and leave his little brother to live a horrible life, with a forced marriage and under the thumb of their bitch of a mother? I know the brothers werenāt exactly close but come on! This just didnāt make sense!
One of the only positives in this episode was the Jin and Wim storyline. Iāve loved their moments throughout the series and the same could be said for this episodeās moments. I just wish we could have seen more of their relationship than what we did get.
I guess itās safe to say that the special episode will focus on the grumpy asshole Cir we got after original Cir was hit by a car falling for his shy, possibly nerdy Phu. Will I watch it? Yes because it surely canāt be as bad as this episode, right?
Only a few episodes into their storyline, and itās safe to say that Faifa and Wine are my favourite of the 3 main couples by a country mile!
Itās not surprising that Faifa doesnāt know what special means. It all goes back to his upbringing - he never felt special amongst his family so heās never felt what itās like when someone treats you like youāre the most important thing in the world to them. Wine is treating him differently than anyone else does and itās something that Faifa is long overdue experiencing.
I like the hesitation on Wineās part regarding his feelings for Faifa. For so long, heās been in love (or at least thought he was) with Tor and now, Faifa is in his life, treating him well, looking out for him and making him feel good about himself without expecting anything in return. Heās feeling something for him but because of his feelings for Tor, he needs time to see if what heās feeling and wanting with Faifa, is better than what he may have with Tor. Itās clear he likes Faifa but he needs the time to see whether or not he likes him more than he does Tor.
Arm and Gun together is like TweedleDee and TweedleDum - someone save us!
So Iām guessing the ghost possession scene was supposed to be funny but I just found it absurd and a waste of time. Surely, there were better ways of getting Faifa to help Wine and his friends than this!
Episode 20:
So many moments of Faifa and Wine in this episode made me feel giddy! Itās so nice to see 2 genuinely nice people slowly falling in love, taking time to get to know each other, care for each other, and work out what that means for them, individually and together.
Faifa and Wine are doing a good job communicating with each other as they navigate their relationship. They donāt need anyone else helping them so obviously, weāre going to see Arm, Gun, and, to a lesser extent, Yotha meddling with them and leading to problems for them in their efforts to get them together. I hate the thought of something like this causing unnecessary angst. There is enough with Faifa needing to change to be able to show Wine he is more important to him than anyone else, Wine dealing with his growing attraction to Faifa, and dealing with Tor being back (Iām assuming weāll see him at some point with the IG references) in Wineās life and him having to decide who he really wants more.
If youāre looking at Arm to make a plan for you, you should give up now! š¤¦āāļø
Some of the scenes in this series are pointless and whilst I donāt mind glimpses of Aou and Boom, and Marc and Pon (no matter how much I love this pairing), they add nothing to the actual storyline so could be cut for something else. It just screams āWe have these actors and weāll just stick them in this random place in the episode so their fans will keep watching this series in case they see them again.ā Itās a waste of these guys - just give them their own series (hint, hint, hint Aou and Boom) or bigger roles as a secondary couple rather than throwaway moments in an already packed ensemble cast.
Phuri has only been in 2 episodes and Iāve had my quota for him. Sorry Lewis but your character is annoying although with this series, thatās par for the course!
The scene with Faifa and Gun āwrestlingā with each other and then Yothaās involvement to protect Gun was enjoyable. It nailed the different dynamics, friendly camaraderie, bickering sibling dynamic, love blind couple, perfectly for me.
With the next episode hinting at Wine getting his Perfect 10 Linersā couple bracelet, are we finally going to get a Tay/New cameo or is it going to be like the Sea cameo where we get a reference to their pairing but donāt actually get them on screen together?
