Confessions of a (not so) Teenage Dirtbag

I don’t even know where to start ... the book I chose for this challenge is not the type of book I would usually read, which is exactly why I chose it (and obviously it fit with the challenge).

For anyone who hasn’t read this book I urge you to, if I didn’t know better I would swear it is a twisted fictional tale written purposely to shock readers.

The book is brilliant and also very difficult to read, after reading it I’m baffled as to how Putin can even show his face in public, let alone still be a world leader! Now we all know that Russia is a corrupt and dangerous country but this book show just how deep this corruption goes and how low these people are willing to stoop.

A deep and interesting book that reads like a novel made all the more haunting by the truth that lies within the pages.

So as someone who loves to read but is always disappointed by never having the time I decided to set myself a challenge after doing abit of online research I found The Colour Challenge, a reading challenge which I hoped would help me read more this year.

Now I should explain why I feel I’ve been struggling to find the time to read:

I’ve recently had a beautiful baby boy

I’m currently still breastfeeding

I have 2 step children

I have a very demanding dog

I only have two hands!

So as you can imagine I don’t have a lot of time or enough hands!

I was bought a kindle by a well meaning family member a few years back but I’ll be honest it’s mostly been gathering dust because I’m more of a traditional kind of gal when it comes to books (nothing beats the smell of a good book!). However, since my darling Wyatt came along, I no longer have enough hands at any one time to hold a book and therefore this challenge will be mostly completed using the kindle (which I’m suddenly very greatfull for!).

Right so! The first category is blue and the rules say the colour is to be in the title or on the cover so I loaded up the book store on my kindle and decide the first blue book on the best seller list to catch my eye would be the one I chose.

Really good read, had me hooked and an interesting twist! Would recommend!
