JASPER KIRAZ
βΒ CLOSED STARTER FOR @abahienseββ Β AT THE HIDDEN PEARL.Β β
jasper peered down at the empty glass in his hand, the only remnants of the whiskey once there were the sticky droplets which clung to the bottom. he only barely remembered that alcohol was forbidden, havingΒ long ago committed to the sin. it was a development he would credit to the collapse of his engagement, but in reality, was a mere case of his decision. now, however, the bar was too crowded, and he was beginning to feel suffocated. he didnβt like people, could only stand to be around them for so long. thus, when they started pouring in, he took it as a cue to leave. in a minute, anyway. it was a delay heβd come to regret when an overly flirtatious bartender seated the wicked witch by his side. adriana. heβd done his best to avoid her, but misfortune followed him like a cloud, and she was the whole damn storm. he should walk away. ignore her. be indifferentβ¦ except he couldnβt. βmove to the other side of the bar,β he didnβt spare a glance at her as he spoke. βi donβt need you near me.β

as if running into jaden wasnβt gut wrenching enough, adri was two for two with jasper. whom, she hardly recognized until the cold draft of his greeting stroked her back like some long lost pet he was galled to see again. βoh get over yourself,β she purred, rolling her eyes with the same flippant attitude sheβd displayed towards her ex earlier. if jasper wanted to hate her and blame her, then fine. but, it was his problem, not hers. βi happen to like it here.β she particularly liked the bartender who has yet to retract his eyes from her chest and focus them on the bar, to which he should be tending. nothing like some fresh, male validation to lift her spirits. βwhy donβt YOU move?β her eyes snapped an accusatory glance his way. βwhat, you donβt want me within close reach because youβre afraid you wonβt be able to keep your hands to yourself?β theyβve been there, done that. the truth of the matter is, adri would do it all over again. jasper was extraordinary with his mouth. βitβs me,β she reminds him. βno need to pretend youβre this upset your boring relationship ended.Β i can assure you, iβm not buying it. and frankly, i donβt care.β
