Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 1.Ā Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-WishĀ® vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. We believe a wish experience can be a game-changer. Make-A-WishĀ® foundation which is a non-profit charitable organization that has a huge social media presence.Ā The charity field is a tough business and with every organization having such a big social media presence, donations are at a premium.Ā Make-A-Wish foundation offers real-time wish story telling, breaking news, fun facts, information and incredible wish images on most of their social media platforms. Ā Ā Ā 2.Ā In the last two days there have been 58 uploads on YouTube on wish videos. Along with YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, the organization also has Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts promoting their brand.Ā Make-A-Wish started in 1980 and since their inception have made over 300,000 wishes come true. Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A lot of the success of Make-A-Wish has come from their social media platforms.Ā On Twitter they have 222 thousand followers. (3) On Facebook they have 825 thousand followers. (4) On YouTube a search result gives you 18.8 million results. (5) This is just a few examples of the far reach the organization has on social media.Ā The organization uses Facebook and YouTube the most in their social media strategies.Ā YouTube is utilized by the organization and every child with a wish granted. (6) (7) Ā Although YouTube has the most activity, Facebook is right there.Ā With the interactive ways of Facebook between posts, shares, comments, and likes you can never count out their influence. Ā

Ā Ā Ā Make-A-Wishās social commerce strategies are clear.Ā Flood the social media networks with posts.Ā The more posts, the more people that will see.Ā Posts on all networks are included with hashtags and @ symbols to maximize who will see their posts.Ā They encourage interaction on all their posts with sharing and unbelievable stories.Ā The videos they share are not only heart warming and heart felt, but they are tear jerking and real life. Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā There arenāt any controversial or critical relationships to speak of with Make-A-Wish.Ā According to charitynavigator.org they have an overall score and rating of 87.05 out of 100 and 3 of 4 stars. (8)Ā In contrast, American Red Cross, which is the second largest charity, has a rating of 83.33 and 3 of 4 stars.Ā Make-A-Wish isnāt in the top ten of any rated charitynavigator.org list.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Since Make-A-Wish delivered their first wish in 1980 theyāve had a great overall rating.Ā According to a former wish coordinator from Charlotte, NC,Ā āI thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ā It truly was my honor to spend time coordinating wishes for the very deserving children.ā (9)Ā Their highest rating to date is in June 2003 when they received a score of 96.63 and a 4 of 4 star rating.

Ā Ā Ā Ā With over 300,000 wishes granted Make-A-Wish America is one of the most successful charitable organizations.Ā This year they are averaging a wish granted every 34 minutes.Ā Make-A-Wish America is also cut down into local chapters.Ā The organization is located in Phoenix, AZ.Ā My local chapter is Western Massachusetts. (13)Ā The way the organization treats itās employees and wish recipients is wonderful.Ā Iād recommend Make-A-Wish to anyone looking to give to a good charity. Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Their overall social media marketing strategy is to post everything they do.Ā They have one of the highest scores of any organization for accountability and transparency on charitynavigator.org 97.00.Ā (14)Ā Make-A-Wish America consistently and persistently posts across all media outlets daily.Ā This is a way to keep people interested in what is going on in this great charity.Ā This charity is in my top ten of all charities due to the fact they fix hearts with minds.
