my corner store guy is a 50 year old man who's my best friend in the world and recently he was like "you're too pretty to be single I have some nephews you should meet. very handsome!" and I was like "a niece might be more up my alley" and he just got more excited and said "ah even better! I was overselling my nephews but my nieces are very beautiful"

Tumblr staff just terminated 3 of my friends
@analog-delight, @sapphireh3art, and @puppiesthoughtsgobrrrr, in the span of a few minutes.
They aren't even hiding it this time, they claimed no reason for the termination. "For any reason, or none at all."
Staff is transmisogynistic and is targetting trans women and their allies on purpose. They are all but admitting to this here.
By my count we're at 6 accounts (overwhelmingly transfems) terminated in the last ten minutes, most if not all with the same "For any reason, or none at all", bullshit justification.
Tumblr staff is currently running a banwave of trans women, terminating them without justification.
I've been told of more than ten more girls banned, in the same timeframe. @yay-bunnies was banned too.
I've been told that all followers of a now terminated blogs were banned, so it's safe to assume that someone on staff just went down the list of a tgirl's blog and banned all of them.
@staff is transmisogynistic and currently mass banning trans women. Make sure they never hear the end of it. Raise hell like yall did a few days ago. Staff is mass banning transfems without reason.
All evidence points to staff having mass banned all followers of @kidnappbait (or rather her latest blog), and all of them recieving the same "any reason, or none at all" message.
Staff is now just running down hit lists of transfems.
I have asked a good amount of the terminated people, and it looks like that was the case, so let me put it simply
Staff banned all followers of a transfem's account, staff is mass banning transfems without reason
Send feedback to staff. Raise hell. Don't let them get away with that.
If you know someone who was terminated, or are someone that was terminated, please contact me, I'm trying to gather evidence.

this is targeted tumblr content
This is what language is for. Evolution. Ridiculous, wonderful evolution.
This is so good, I'm awake at 3am and glad of it - for this has arrived on my dash like a boss
the "tried to make him the main character" part killed me bc, indeed, caesar is not the main character of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar
@suzeranity - OMG 😂😂
“They all did slay”
This is SO DAMN DAMN GOOD. I think Shakespeare would have approved.
If you're reading this you need to tell me the name of your favorite black character NOW‼️
watching my way through m*a*s*h and i'm awestruck by how much the show does not valorise the practice of military medicine...? the sense of contempt that the text of the show has towards war, the military and american institutions also extends to medicine in some inexplicable way.
they're saving lives out there and it's good work but it's not important bcs they shouldn't have needed to do it at all. hawkeye shouldn't have to stitch up kids on his operating table bcs the kids shouldn't have ended up there anyway. neither should've hawkeye himself. at the end of "the late captain pierce", when bj is trying to get hawkeye off digger's bus, he doesn't give rallying cry about how noble and important their work is. bcs it isn't and they know it. hawkeye is keenly aware of his moral duty but it doesnt seem enlightening or revelatory - it's a noose around his neck.
i'm in season 4 rn and the most dashing, "heroic" acts of medicine they do - when they help that north korean soldier in "the bus" or the girl blown up by the landmine in "welcome to korea" - are when they actively say a big ol' fuck you to their roles and responsibilities as army surgeons.
MASH is so good at taking a premise that should be pro-military and pro-US imperialism via civilian doctors saving people in a war zone and it goes, actually, this whole premise is fucked up. It goes, actually, brutality is never justifiable. It goes, actually, people are worth caring about and caring for, even when you don't know them, don't speak their language, and their actions and choices make your life miserable. Looking at you, Frank, on that last one.
OP, you're so right that it doesn't valorise military medicine. The doctors don't come out of surgery as heroes. They come out of surgery haunted by the decisions they had to make. Which people they had to let die; amputations they made. The people they couldn't keep alive because of time or supplies or skill. And the people they saved? They're just going to go back to the front. To die.
WHICH COULD MEAN NOTHING
Every time I see some variant of this headline going around I think we also need to address the additional important fact that in the first movie they did together after the whole Beatles incident they wrote in a kiss between their characters and Ridley Scott cut it because it was "too distracting".
I extremely extremely do not go here but I just wanted to confirm the kiss story was real and um
it was not just a kiss they were also improvising d/s humiliation kink shit. incredible.

This week:
A 19 year old passenger with her baby, who only spoke spanish, missed her connecting flight due to weather and would have been stuck sleeping in the airport but my co flight attendant (who spoke spanish) booked her commuter hotel for her and gave her a free room for the night
Another passenger missed her connecting flight home but since she lived just under an hour from me I gave her a ride from dc to virginia beach
My pilot was contacted by the wife of a pilot he'd flown with (who later killed himself) because she'd found a photo of their crew at dinner, so now he takes group photos of every crew he hangs out with, just in case
Another passenger missed her connecting flight and was crying because her mom was in hospice so 2 other passengers who did not know her offered to rent a car and carpool down to jacksonville together
An actor who I will not name but who I'm a huge fan of was in line at the airport pizza place in front of me and my co flight attendant (also a fan) and we were trying so hard to be cool about it and he could tell and he paid for our food because "You all take such good care of us in the air, we should take care of you on the ground."
The van driver for our new orleans overnight heard me say I was vegetarian but wished I could try authentic gumbo and called his friend who is a chef and then drove us to the restaurant where I was given a creole style vegetarian gumbo he'd improvised
After a terrible night which saw me and my co flight attendant trying for 4 hours to get hotel rooms from our airline, the night clerk at a hotel finally took over the phone call and reprimanded them on our behalf, dictating the exact paperwork she needed sent over and then expedited the process so she could give us rooms
When I was little I showed a flight attendant a picture of a ladybug life cycle I drew myself, and he sat down in the empty seat on the other side of the aisle and drew a flipping plane and holy cow that was the first experience I had of someone drawing and drawing amazingly well. I wonder how he's doing...
I still have the drawings! And the notebook!
The notebook in question:
The terribly childish drawings in question:
LOOK AT THIS
I DIDN'T EVEN REALISE HE'D WRITTEN MY NAME
Flipping heck 🤣🤣🤣
Oh yeah, this was a Virgin Australia domestic Brisbane to Sydney flight which I'd done with my family multiple times at this point.
Btw I was 8.
Gerome Gardiner, I have cherished this drawing all throughout my childhood, and if you ever see this, thank you for taking the time on a pretty empty flight to draw me something with such beauty that I have carried it throughout my life.
But I feel I should apologise because I have not kept up my drawing skills and neither have I had much time or energy to do so 😅
I paint pictures with words now ✒️📖💻
One day I'll show you one of my stories! 😁
He's still out there drawing planes.
