1) MOST OF THEM EMAILING ARE NOT EVEN ATTENDING/NEVER ATTENDED ONE SUPERNATURAL CON

2) The ENT actually responded to one of their emails and said that people had actually asked for a JR2 panel.

3) Cockles/Destiel fans fail to realize that there is other fans out there OUTSIDE of twitter. JenMish panels don’t nearly enough money as J2 panels bring in given the prices AND the panels are sometimes for the money for spn cons.

4) That people that DO attend say that they use Misha panels to go have lunch, go do their pictures, or they just don’t stay because he’s full of nonsense. Misha only does his panels the way the Twitter fans like it, not how his general fans or ship likes it.

5) Lastly, it could ALLEGEDLY have something to do with Jensen just not wanting to do a panel with Misha. Purcon10 told a lot of stories and JenMish panels and interactions haven’t been the same IN THE PUBLIC EYE. Photo ops don’t tell a story, Jensen is known for always putting on a smile for the fans even if they are talking bullshit that he doesn’t want to hear or address that he probably has a million times.

i absolutely used meshit's panels to go on a bathroom and food break. judging by the other empty seats and how many people were out in the vendor area, i would say a lot of people did the same.

other observations:

jensen was talking about c-ss returning in s12 as normal c-ss after being casifer for part of s11. the crowd response was subdued. jensen commented, "not as happy about it as i thought." (i'm paraphrasing. i can't remember the exact words.)

at the vendors tables, they were giving away c-ss merchandise with other purchases. when i asked what they were doing when i saw them putting it in my bag and they told me, i told them if they insisted on giving it to me, i was marching straight over to the garbage can and throwing it away. they took it back out.

hellers think they are entitled to make everyone love meshit and everyone has to go along with it. case in point: i got in line for my jared auto. i forogt something at my chair. the volunteer told me it was ok to go get it and they would hold my place. when i came back, they saw i didn't have meshit's number blackened out on my gold pass to indicate i had gotten his auto. they offered to hold my place in line so i could go get it. i said, "no, thanks." they pointed out there was no one at meshit's table and it would be fast. i again told them i was good. they tried again suggesting that one of my friends might want it and i could get it for them. i said, "no one i know" and smiled. the death glares i got from people around me were intense.

It level of douchness was that even J2 tinhatters had difficulties explaining it away and these people are the gold medal Olympians of mental gynmastics.

First, Jensen said Jared “phoned it in” all during season 11 and I’m going Whut?  Like we’re not talking Oscar level acting and while Jared isn’t my favorite actor  he still was good in his scenes with Mark P and before that he was good with that Sully guy and the rest of the season he was doing beautiful angst.

Second, Jensen checked out during his panel with Misha.  When Misha was talking about YANA and how Jared’s AKF was his inspiration for YANA, Jensen was looking everywhere but the audience and visibly tried not to engage any banter with Misha, essentially leaving him to hang out to dry.  Everybody commented how irritated Jensen looked.

Third, Jensen was noticable irritated and jealous that Jared’s wife was there and during the closing ceramony Jensen used air quotations marks while talking about Gen’s marriage to Jared.  Cue the J2 Tinhats going “Woah!” at Jensen.  Jared had his arms wrapped around Gen and his facial expression could only be interpreted as “What the fvck?” and then heh heh laughed it off because what else could he do.

Fourth, the next day at the Jailbreak concert, Jared and Gen were hanging on the second level when Jensen joined them.  Jared was talking to Gen so Jensen put his hand on Jared’s knee to get his attention.  From the fan’s video Jensen kept his hand on Jared’s knee and looking intensly at Jared, which kept Jared’s attention on him and not on Gen.  

So I've been getting quite a few Ask and messages from newbies asking about YANA. I'll try to keep this short

By the time Jared outed himself for having clinical depression in March 3, 2015 (season 10) he was already on the "downward slope" that culminated into a breakdown on May 15.  Except this wasn't his first breakdown, that happened during the filming of season 3's Very Supernatural Christmas (one of the best SPN episode btw). In a bizarre coincidence 7 years later on the day Jared launched the first Always Keep Fighting campaign, they went back to film at the very same house they were using the day he had his first breakdown. "In over 200 episodes, over 1600 filming days, and hundreds of locations, what are the odds?" asked Jared. Makes you wonder.

Jared first breakdown in 2008 and attempt to leave the show caused Kripke to lose sleep and led Robert Singer to put together a contingency plan in case Jared is unable to lead the series to syndication in season 5.  Jensen deserves the credit for convincing Jared not to leave the show.  When Misha debuted Cas in season 4, he did well enough that Singer thinks he found another possible replacement (among few other choices) for Dean’s partner in case Jared’s depression takes a turn for the worse. Misha was given Anna Milton's storyline and the actress, Julie McNiven, was fired.  So if Jared leaves the show, Jensen would be promoted to lead in Jared's place and Misha will take Jensen's old role.

The show was successfully syndicated on November 12, 2009.   After season 5 concluded, Eric Kripke was fired and Sera Gamble installed as showrunner and she let Misha's contract expire after season 6. In other words she fired Misha and threw out Singer's contingency plan. In 2010 Netflix sought to buy licensing agreement with CW at value of billion dollars and closed the deal on October 13, 2011 and Jared received a massive salary raise, making him the highest paid actor on CW.

With Supernatural now a syndicated and merchandise goldmine, Robert Singer convinced WB to fire Sera Gamble in 2012, rehire Misha (as guest) and installed Jeremy Carver as the new showrunner.  Carver is also the husband of Anne Fricke, the current showrunner of Walker, btw. Singer brought back his contingency plan and was working to return Misha to regular status and even had Robbie Thompson write a Swan Song ripoff episode (”Goodbye Stranger”) to try to put Cas on the same level of Sam. The next day TV Guide has a poll to vote on Cas's return to Supernatural and 80% of the fans voted JEERS, likely due to fandom negative reaction to the “Goodbye Stranger” episode.

Singer and Carver fought hard over the direction of season 9, Carver even used the Comic Con platform to try to ward off the Singer/Jensen plan. Carver wants to keep it Sam-focused to keep it's rating high (season 9 is the 2nd highest rated season) while Jensen and Singer wants a lead up to a Dean-centric storyline in season 10. Jensen and Singer got their way, season 10's ratings tanked, and Jared spiraled during the whole season towards a breakdown on May 15, 2015.

Singer thought he was vindicated for keeping his contingency plan and Misha thought his time has come and SIX WEEKS AFTER JARED’S BREAKDOWN   he registered Stands LLC on June 29, 2015.  Kids, this was the day YANA was born. 

Singer, Misha, others, assumed Jared may not return for season 11 and then WB will promote Jensen to first billing, Misha to second billing, and the two of them will be the figurehead duo in the YANA campaign. I can see their YANA slogan in my head and it goes, "In honor of Jared whom we miss so much, we will continue his Always Keep Fighting message with You're Not Alone (YANA) and all these cool merchs!"

Then WB hilariously fired Robert Singer from his executive producer title because they don't want him interfering with CW renegotiating licensing agreement with Netflix.

Jared returns to SPN for season 11 even though he “was dreading“ it.  Having been told about YANA (likely from Jensen) he strategized with his publicist to reclaim his brand, here is the timeline for Jared vs YANA.

Carver rescued season 11 with a Sam/BiBro focused storylines and ratings have a healthy rebound, which CW used as one of the leverages in their renegotiation with Netflix. July 5, 2016.. CW and Netflix close a 5 year deal worth over a billion dollars. Media calls the pact one of the richest output deals ever.

Ratings for season 2 and 3 were very good as you can see here.  Ratings did not “finally get good” in season 4, they actually lost one milion regular viewers by the end of season 4.   Kripke never said that ratings got better because of Misha because it didn’t, he only said Misha saved the angel storyline because there was a chance that fans would hate it as much as they did the Leviathan storyline.  Fans spent the summer of 2017 preparing to hate the Jack Kline storyline but Alexander Culvart saved that storyline and Jack became an instant fan favorite.  

If Supernatural was in danger of cancellation, it would be because they lost their lead star, Jared.  Shows rarely survive when they lose their lead, and when they do they limp along for one or two more seasons while fans and critics lambast them for getting worse and worse, like these shows.   Jared recently admitted that he once had planned to leave the show and met with a lawyer to break his contract without getting sued by WB.  Why do studio lose their shit if a lead star leaves before the show is syndicated?  Because millions and millions of dollars.

For a single season, CW spends at least $50 million developing several shows (150 scripts, 30 pilots) that only 6% will be aired (link).  Then only 30% of the pilots will make it past the first season (link).  So a good year means  3 shows survived the first season without getting cancelled .  CW’s track record is 30% of the first season survivor will go on to crawl toward the season 4 finishing line. (link)  If you’re doing the math that means an average of ONE show from CW’s $50 million dollar pilot season has lasted long enough to be syndicated and finally make some profit for the studio & network (details). 

Is it any wonder that young actors  like Jessica Alba, Jared Padalecki, Tom Welling who are inexperienced in leading a show became stressed, depressed, and unhappy?  They are under enormous pressure to make back $50 million dollars for their network.  Jared’s mental illness and the subsequent breakdown in season 3 was when Kripke started to lose sleep because if Jared leaves the show before it could be syndicated then Kripke, Singer, and WB will be financially screwed.  Worse, the writer’s strike happened during season 3, shortening it from 22 episodes to 16.   They need 88 episodes to be syndicated which is supposed to happen in season 4 but now delayed to season 5, which makes the network very unhappy that they have to commit to spending money on a show for another year.  It would be like a college student taking 5 years instead of 4 years to graduate and the parents have to spend another $10,000 just for their spawn’s room and board.  

There was much speculation in the fandom why Kripke went to see Jared before season 5 filmed.  Remember at the time Jared’s breakdown in season 3 was kept secret, none of us knew.  Whatever Kripke said to Jared, season 5 filming started without a hitch.  The 6th episode (”I Believe Our Children Are Our Future”) is the much needed 88th episode.  After episode 92 aired on Nov 12, 2009, it was announced that SPN was syndicated and TNT aired reruns the following January.  Season 5′s viewership were lower than season 3 & 4 but that didn’t matter because of $$$yndication! Hooray!   We are $$$aved! 

Misha/Cas is irrelevant to ratings, Nielsen ratings have shown that (example here).  Misha’s Q - popularity score was last measured during season 8 by Marketing Evaluation, Inc and it was too low among the general audience and Misha’s status has been jerked around before and since then.  Misha went from guest (season 4) to regular (season 5 & 6)  to guest (season 7 & 8)  to regular (season 9 - 12) and back to guest (season 13)   Don’t Misha’s minions find that status whiplash even a little bit strange?  For somebody whom minions claim “saved” SPN from cancellation, why would his status get carelessly jerked around so much?
