It is always so damn satisfying creating one of this despite the brutal amount of work from designing the robotic body up to the last brushstroke.

Model 27. A tribute to Hajime Sorayama. Acrylic on illustration board.

This is a very special personal illustration done back in May of last year as a humble study/tribute to one of my favorite artists Hajime Sorayama. After months of practicing, analyzing and being obsessed over his work, I decided to tackle the challenge of doing a full gynoid from scratch using the exact same painting techniques Sorayama uses when doing his iconic pieces. But instead of just copying one of his existing images, I went ahead and gathered some reference to come up with something of my own so here it is!
