“The rumors failed to mention that part,” she sighed. 

She cast a look at her hand, a small plume of smoke crawling around her fingers.

Her eyes shifted between the opponents in her sight. Faunus, clearly, and White Fang if their dress could be believed. Of course, even in Mistral, she doubted any non affiliated Faunus would dare dawn the associated garb. And... as far as she could recall, no sacred forest lay along this road.

Still, the road wound before her. Mistral was still a distant goal. And even when she got there, finding Cinder would be another task entirely. Especially with the only means of tracking her being a hunch and a prayer. It felt right. The small bit of power with in her was pulling back toward it’s other half. If nothing else, she would just follow the feeling. 

A stranger walked toward hers, heading the other direction along the road. Tucking down her face, she pulled the hood on her cloak closer to hide any chance of recognition. That now too familiar lump coalesced in her stomach, suspicious and fear clawing at her heart. Anyone could be a threat, an enemy. She’d brushed with too many before and not known it. 

Both her arms dropped straight to her side, the strength of her semblance pooling in her hands. They glowed just the slightest bit of black as she felt the comfortable vibrations of the shield and spear at her back.

As she stepped into the tavern area of the local in, she kept the hood up on her cloak. No need to draw unwanted attention. If she couldn’t find who she was looking for this would only be a quick stop anyway.

She’d heard so many rumors about the woman who could find anyone. Some simply wrote her off as an excellent detective and tracker. Others called it magic. But Pyrrha could wager a stronger guess as to what it really was, a semblance of some kind. Either way, the rumors surrounding this woman’s movements had lead her here. She only hoped she could help her find what she was looking for. Chasing rumors was starting to get old.

She cast a glance around the room, eyes darting over each patron. One caught her eye. Gray clothes, travel worn and dusty, and silvery blonde hair falling down her back in waves. Bingo. Weaving through the room she came to a stop beside the woman’s table. 

She sat down at a table and suddenly realized she felt a little homesick. Her hand slide into a pocket, she felt the cold metal back on the pin. She couldn’t, not after looking for the boy, it was too much of a risk today. Tomorrow… well the day after… hopefully he hadn't’ moved again.

A voice brought Lia’s silver eyes upward from the food she had ordered. The stranger, shrouded in a hood.
