Moving on (finally). The Joy Luck Club made me cry, which I don’t remember it doing when I read it last, but there is just something so special to me about the relationships between mother and daughter, woman to woman, that it fills my heart and overflows. I decided to finish this year with A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. After learning of his passing earlier this year, I felt like something in the universe had shifted. His presence was, and is, eternal, but somehow, I still feel like there is a piece missing. I have looked up to Stephen Hawking for years, and read The Theory of Everything a few years back, and I am so excited to finally read A Brief History of Time. (Even though it’ll make me question my own place in time and space, and I’ll probably begin a quarter life crisis.)
