You don't have to stick close to your hometown. You don't have to do what your parents do/did for a living. You don't have to live as the gender you were assigned at birth. You don't have to practice the religion you were raised as. You don't have to practice any religion at all. You don't have to keep people in your life who aren't good for you. You don't have to say "yes," when you really want to say "no."
