We’re sorry to to have to tell you that we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release show for our album. The reason is, among other things, due to the still ongoing pandemic. The many uncertainties and restrictions still in place, and the situation being so volatile, we will not be able to make the show happen the way we want to. On top of this many of the people who wish to catch the show, coming in from abroad, are currently not able to. Because of this, we have decided to cancel the date of the show, without setting a new date for the time being. We are working on something else instead, and we’ll let you know about it as soon as possible. All purchased tickets will be refunded automatically by the vendor.

The Great Discord returns to the stage on March 12th, 2022 to celebrate the release of their third album “Deam Morte”, out February 18th, 2022. The release show will take place at the legendary Platens Bar in their hometown of Linköping, with Niels Nielsen joining as opening act.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the big red feather headdress from the Rabbit Hole era and not the Duende or the current Deam Morte mask. And yea, it’s possible the Valkyrie gave to some inspiration. In mythos the Valkyries are very powerful, they decided who lived, who died and where they were going in the afterlife.

BUT the Fia/Ire character’s, they didn’t have such a specific task in the Rabbit Hole, they were neither masculine nor feminine and imo were much more grounded in the here and now.

The color representation for TGD are far more important imo than the costumes themselves. Think of watching Creepshow, screen is blue, its red, it’s black. You see changes, hear those sounds, music, alarms going off…how do you feel?

The red headdress, costume, artwork, were presented with anger, wrath, love, passion and TGD were very much in the open about it with the lyrics, videos and the Rabbit Hole book.

I think they're still doing the same here in 2021 and we are now very much in the black
