As part of our ongoing Odyssey "40-years-in-business" celebration, we were delighted to get some time with the legendary Tom Ritchey in our shop recently. The video profiles some things we found interesting from our 90 minute interview (there were so many tidbits to choose from!) Take a look...

"There were a lot of people that thought I was a ghost~ that I was made up." Tom Ritchey interviewed by Tony Tom We were honored and delighted to interview Tom Ritchey yesterday morning in our shop. A full 90 minutes of history and stories that answered a lot of our questions. He's been at it as long as Tony has in the cycling world. Two of a kind have a chat, it was epic. Tony Tom and Anna MacKinnon were at the Golden Gate Bridge Energizer Station this morning for Bike to Work Day 2015 #BTWD2015 on behalf of A Bicycle Odyssey handing out Soma Fabrications BPA Free water bottles. Lots of familiar faces and plenty-o-sweaty hugs were given and appreciated. A big shout out of thanks and ongoing appreciation to Jim Porter and SOMA Fabrications for the bottle donation, almost all 200 given out.

It happened last night, the famed rematch at Musée Mécanique (thanks Dan Zelinsky) ~ Greg LeMond against Tony Tom for "bicycle rematch". These photos tell you the results.. stay tuned for more tomorrow.

Tony Tom is so busy in his shop, he doesn't get out as much as you'd think. We captured this morning ride last Sunday with Greg LeMond and 6 others... a sublime trip up Mt. Tam.

We're delighted to spend some time with Greg Lemond this weekend. Being an old racing friend of Tony's from "back in the day", Greg came by Saturday night to speak to a crowd of 200 with our "Gathering of Cyclists" Potluck celebrating Tony's 40 years in business. Then this morning a group of eight (including Greg and Tony) took a ride up Old Railroad Grade to punch through the fog and look over the Bay. Let's just say that if one feels their heartbeat in their head, it's a serious workout!

Jacquie Phelan hosted a mid-week WOMBAT TEA this morning for a few FOO folks (Friends Of Odyssey) and here's what it looked like complete with fine china and sublime Orange Pekoe Tea ~ From left Christina, Anna, Jacquie and Karin (who was visiting Marin for the first time from England) http://www.wombats.org/index.html
