This latest antisemitic dogwhistle stems comes from a document (linked at end) which shows the Israeli government through a media agency in Germany, paid between 14 - 18 influencers to make content for the Israeli government. Whilst we don't know exactly how much each person was paid, it's estimated they were paid between $6,143 and $7,372. So $7,000 being the mid point.
"But clownie, it's true. How is it a dog whistle?"
Whilst between 14 and 18 influencers were paid for israeli media campaigns, the number is lobbed at any and every jewish content creator, even if they don't make Israel related content. There are far more than 18 jewish content creators, and not all of those 14 - 18 influencers may be Jewish. Some may be non Jewish pro israel content creators.
Because people are targeting all jewish content creators, and not just people who genuinely could be one of the 14 - 18 content creators, they're saying that any and all jewish content online is israeli propaganda. That's why it's a dogwhistle.
The purpose of it is to scare you into thinking that social media content about jewish recipies, how orthodox jews live, jewish daily life at any level of observance, educating about the holocaust and anti jewish pogroms, educating people about what judaism is, etc, is Israeli propaganda.
They want people to stop listening to jews about judaism. That's the goal.
If a person genuinely wants to know who the 14 - 18 influencers are for transparency reasons, that's not inherently antisemitic. But that's not what people are doing and using $7,000 to mean. The purpose of dogwhistles is to hide the meaning to the average person. Antisemites want you to think that they're just asking for transparency, whilst they harass every jewish influencer under the sun for the crime of being jewish.
