Effects 特殊効果 Sakuga MAD
@HobbesSakuga
“Mononoke the movie Chapter lll” feels like a living Japanese painting — bursting with vibrant colors, intricate details, and breathtaking artistry. The visuals are absolutely mind-bending, and the story pulls you in with its intriguing mystery.
Tank Chair Fall 2026
Theres no official streaming site yet. My guess—though it’s only a guess—is that one of the major anime streamers such as Crunchyroll, Netflix, or Hulu will pick it up for international release. Crunchyroll is often the most likely for new seasonal TV anime, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Yes. “Tank Chair” is a real, officially announced TV anime adaptation of the manga Tank Chair (Sensha Isu: Tank Chair) by Manabu Yashiro. It is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026 (around October 2026) and is being animated by Polygon Pictures.

New Ghost in the Shell will premiere this year, July 2026 on Amazon prime
Wicked City
“Wicked City is well known for its wild body horror. It’s directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri. Human agent Taki and demon agent Maki team up to protect a diplomat who’s trying to create peace between the human world and the demon world. This film is packed with stunning visuals and dives deep into some pretty taboo themes, to say the least.”
Cat Soup
Cat Soup is one of the strangest and most visually striking anime ever made — the final beautiful, unhinged masterpiece of its kind.
The story follows two cats wandering through a bizarre, dreamlike world. When one of them dies, the other desperately tries to stop her soul from leaving. Instead, he ends up trapping her in an empty vessel — a body that’s neither alive nor dead. What follows is a surreal, haunting journey as he searches for a way to bring her back.
With zero dialogue, hypnotic animation, and pure visual storytelling, Cat Soup feels like stepping into someone else’s fever dream. It’s one of the last truly experimental OVAs from that golden era of wild, artistic anime — the kind you simply don’t see anymore.
Provocative, poetic, and deeply unsettling, it’s a 30-minute trip you won’t forget. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for something truly unique.

►WHAT IS SAKUGA? // WHAT IS A SAKUGA MAD
Sakuga (作画) literally means drawing in Japanese. But Sakuga also means "artistically impressive animation".
MAD stands for Music Anime Douga (Douga means video in Japanese). It's the same as an AMV. Sakuga MADs are compilations of great animation made to collect, celebrate and appreciate the work of animators.
I.G is a favorite production studio

A compilation of cuts animated by Hideaki Anno 庵野 秀明.
“I’m a huge fan of Hobbs Sakuga on YouTube. His editing is next-level — he creates these incredible anime music videos where the visuals, colors, and music flow together so perfectly that they get me hyped every single time.
This one is a personal favorite: a stunning compilation of cuts animated by Hideaki Anno (庵野秀明). Anno is easily one of my favorite directors — the way he does colorful, explosive animation is just unmatched.
If you love high-quality anime editing, definitely check out Hobbs Sakuga’s channel. He also has a Patreon where you can support him for $5, $10, $20, or $50 and get some great extras. Even just visiting his page and watching his videos is an experience on its own.

This is one of the most visually stunning and atmospheric sequences in the entire movie — widely considered one of the best-animated fight scenes of its era.
The mix of gothic horror, fluid Madhouse animation, and Marco D’Ambrosio’s haunting score makes it unforgettable.

Kemonozume / is known for Yuasa’s signature raw, fluid, and sometimes deliberately ugly animation style, dark humor, inventive action sequences, and surprisingly tender (yet very adult) romantic elements. It’s a short but intense 13-episode show that feels like a twisted take on Romeo and Juliet mixed with monster-slaying drama.
Kemonozume was created, written, and directed by Masaaki Yuasa, one of the most respected and distinctive directors in anime. The series was produced by Madhouse studio.
This is a bizarrely wholesome ad where Godzilla comes home from work like an exhausted salaryman and sings karaoke with his family. It was for a Hitachi VHS/karaoke machine called the VT-JF25.
