          fairuza knows exactly what the passiveness of that response means: she doesn’t give a shit about differentiating one rock genre from another. this sends a shock off irritation to to the very core of fairuza’s being. she feels an incredible need to engage in what the male population would know as mansplaining. of course, this isn’t the proper setting for it. 

          “do you want to go to a bar with me ?”

unexpected , to say the least , her eyebrows draw upwards , mouth agape . a laugh gets out , just as startling as the other’s question . short , but sweet , and gone as fast as it got there . unsure of what answer to give , mio’s eyes drift around the room , as if she’ll find it in one of the corners , or in one of the seats .

          the first half is the only reaction she was looking for. but that last part ? it hurts her just a bit, and suddenly they aren’t on the same page anymore. “that’s a broad statement.”

          she sips her coffee, shoulder twitching. one of the hardest things about blending in has been pacing herself. “you don’t mean all of it.” ( this isn’t a question. )

     this is an awkward situation . one she’ll happily get out of , if possible . the same blank stare remains , her nails tapping anxiously against the menu in her hands ( which is the only sign that she’s feeling much of anything , really ) .
