Minjae pouts, squinting slightly as he looks up at the boy. “Meanie…” He huffs, getting up off the floor and dusting off his backside before reaching out and smacking him on the chest. “You’re lucky I like you or I’d have smacked you harder.”

He looks up, surprised to hear that he didn’t need to beg for forgiveness after all. “Oh—” He blinks, nodding his head. “So then… What do you want?” He asks, eyebrows furrowing.

“No, no! That’s not what I meant to do at all— I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to make you get kicked out…” He says, staring at his shoes as he felt his heart beat quick in his chest. “I’m really sorry— you can hit me if that’s what you want.”

Minjae had been restocking shelves all morning, pushing a cart full of new items around as he tried to find where to put them. He looked up once he felt someone else hit his cart, eyes widening slightly as he saw the boy; they had went to school together until the incident where Minjae had seen him cheating on a test and decided to tell the teacher. He hadn’t meant for the boy to be kicked out, but that’s how it ended up. So here he was, dressed in slacks and an ugly, yellow vest, grasping a can of peas in his hand as he waited to receive his punishment of a slap or kick for what he’d done. “I… I remember you too…” That’s all he could think to say in the moment.
