When the female finally answered him, he nodded, glancing
down at his map, and a poorly written one at that, most likely
why he couldn’t find his way around, Jake tried to figure out
where Hall C was. He located it on the map, though he was a
bit confused on how exactly to get there. “Thank you, really.”
He hesitated before asking his second question, but he figured
it couldn’t hurt to ask rather than wandering the building and
getting lost and be late on his first day. All she could do was
say yes or no to if she’d help him.
He stepped closer, clearing his throat. “I don’t mean to be a
bother, I know you must have things to do.. but, I’ve never
been to the building before- today is my first day for recording..”
Jake rubbed the back of his neck as he explained himself, hoping
that would make her lean towards helping him, though he would
understand if she was too busy. “I have a map, but my manager
was really not the best at drawing it out and explaining things,
so maybe you could point me in the way of Hall C?” He tried
being polite as he possibly could. It wasn’t for show, Jake was a
very generally nice person anyway unless you did something to
piss him off to the point he wouldn’t forgive you.
