If ever there was music made to be listened to on 8-track, it's gotta be Nugent. I asked Uncle Ted what his first 8-track was. He told me he had vinyl and cassettes, but never 8-tracks. He went on to say that he rarely even listens to music because he's too busy making it. Then he goes, "You know what sound I like? The sound of an arrow ripping through an animal's flesh!" Okay, then! A perfectly Nugent thing to say.

Another insane get: Gene Simmons. Gene had two pens in his hand – one blue, one white. He was just about to sign my tape in blue, which would’ve looked terrible because the sig would be invisible on the black album cover. I asked if he’d sign in white, instead. “Of course,” he said. Without missing a beat, he followed it with, “Would you like me to make you a sandwich, as well?” You gotta love the sense of humor on the guy. 👅🔥🔥🔥

I asked Paul Stanley from KISS if he remembered what his first 8-track tape was. “Of course I remember,” he said. After a short pause, the Starchild admitted, “Okay, maybe I don’t remember.” Dude’s seen a lot over the years. I think he gets a pass on the memory thing. 💋🔥🔥🔥
