It’s hard to do so

I miss you like guts on the highway,

Rubber necked and forgotten with the nearest exit.

You light me up

but space is needed

I need you to want me like i want you.

How a kiss could taste so good in the dark

only if forgotten, can cut worse

Desired 

I stood alone with two hearts beating

Holding my hands, waiting for you

I see distance in your eyes

But I’m willing to walk

Dearest, I need to know what you want

You’re my autumn leaf

And this wind is blowing

I know there’s a heart beneath this,

I hear it when I’m alone

Frozen it may be

My heart deaf

all but to the sound of you

Put in stone if broken

And send me 6 feet down

Your eyes of poetry in their own

Give me all to write about

Hold me closer, hold me forever

Your arms are the only home I’ve ever known.

Yet walking through the door could cut me a lot deeper

And when I die

They’ll call your name

and watch how I come back to life
