can you imagine training with people for half of your life only to watch them die in front of you? only to hear them say “it’s been great working with you people. this is goodbye.” only to realize your country failed you? that you will be reduced to a number and nothing else. your story will not be remembered. you will just be another soldier that died because some government thought it was an honor.

war is great to make movies on and bring about a rise in patriotism. but you read history and you realize how many stories were reduced to casualties? how many stories were erased and buried in the sand with the ruins of those that fought for us? is this freedom? or is it just the shackles of the idea of freedom?

my father is an army man. sometimes I wonder how my mother had the courage to sit at home and wait for him. my father’s brother died in an air crash because he was willing to lay his life for a country. the next day my father went and admitted himself in the army. maybe it was to honor his brother, I don't know. people said, “one of their children just died and they're letting their son go in again?”

my grandfather lived through a war. perhaps one of the deadliest accounts of one. he says it was the worse time to be alive. I still find it a wonder on how his entire family managed to escape just in time.

my mother’s cousin remembers the day our country was under threat. she was sixteen and terrified, hiding in the underground bunker. her hands were shaking.

I don't think people understand how much it must have hurt for Jim to make sure Toby gets the amulet. I know, toby deserved a lot better than what was thrown at him. but do you understand what Jim will have to live with? the pain, the memories and the sheer heaviness of it all. If it were that easy, there wouldn't be a trollhunter. and if toby doesn't succeed and per say, they have to restart time again, toby lives with that pain too. How does it make anything better?

and don't even get me started on what the fuck happened to douxie. he lost everything. I get taking away things that mean a lot to characters for character building but my god, couldn't they for one second have just LET HIM BE HAPPY????? from Merlin to Archie to Nari. Anyone that ever meant something to him is gone. ‘my burden to bear?’ it was never his burden.

and also can Barbara pls be happy. jeez. Killing strickler AND NORMURA???? what the f u c k was this entire pregnancy thing–? My god what the fuck was that?? At one point I legitimately thought they were pulling my leg. And the book page that was stuck was so unnecessary. YOURE telling me BLINKOUS GALADRIGAL is that big of an idiot to miss a page??? NO. Vendel would have rose up from HIS GRAVE TO PROVE OTHERWISE

the only good part was when my boy Jim realized that he was a hero, with or without the amulet. And ‘none shall live’ started playing. Those were always my favorite scenes like when the goblins were attacking and they were trapped in the woods?? or when Claire did that big portal???? or when Jim entered after the eternal night thingy with the bus flying??? YES

I know I'm missing a lot of characters but my god pls rewrite this. PLEASE. you cannot end here. Taking away everything we knew about our characters and make it seem like everything they did was all for nothing IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO END A SERIES.

from the first season you can tell how much of a sweetheart he is, as he makes breakfast for his mom and his best friend, Toby. He knows how hard his mom works and smiles and kisses her when he sees her asleep.

It breaks his heart knowing that he won't able be able to explain to her why he woke up in the woods, why he got arrested or anything that happened to him because of the trolls.

He promises his mother he'll tell her the truth after she wakes up, but he doesn't. Not at all. Because he won't be able to see her hurt again. He wanted to protect her. To fight for her.

Even after his mother finds out, he still doesn't want her to worry that much. He still pretends to play it off. He texts her during his fights, telling them he's okay.

the way he stood up for Eli, despite the fact that he could have walked away easily. He wasn't a match for Steve's strength but he still landed a punch. He didn't want anyone to get bullied infront of him.

Claire. When he's admiring her from afar, he smiles. He hated the fact that his other life was taking up all of his time, even though he didn't want to be in the play, he knew how much it meant to Claire.

He agrees to baby sit her brother. He crosses the darklands just to find him. Because of his promise. He didn't want to break it. Not only because it would hurt Claire, but also because, he didn't want to be like his father. His father who made empty promises and left them for someone else.

When they are fighting goblins in the forest, he doesn't care about anything but Claire. He wants to protect her. He shouts for his amulet, to come back to him.

He jumps in when Claire is making that huge portal, saying she's never going to be alone. He's going to be there for her. always.

When he makes the Vespa with Blinky, it reminds him of his father. He takes Blinky as his father. Blinky guided him. Helped him with everything. And despite the fact that Jim never showed that his father leaving affected him, he still was hurt.

When Jim sees Aarggh is dead, he doesn't show his emotions to that extent, in comparison to toby. The only thing going on his mind is to protect all of his friends, he couldn't lose anymore. Which is why he went into the darklands, all alone, knowing he might never make it out.

When everyone called him a failure, a joke of a trollhunter, he still fought. Despite the bruises. He knew he was no match for Draal. But he still fought.

He is so torn by Draal's death and his failure to protect him, that he agrees to whatever Merlin says. He doesn't try to fight Draal, even when he's under the blade of Gunmar, solely because he's a friend. Jim would never wield his blade against someone so dear to him.

He never wanted the amulet. But he still fought as if it was his choice. He hated the amulet so much. He couldn't deal with it, but he did. Because he knew the trolls needed protection.

He was so upset over Strickler's betrayal, because he looked up to him like his father figure too, before he found about trolls and him being a changeling. He was his star student and after all of that, he still forgave him and let him walk out alive. After everything.

Normura tried killing him in the start. And he obviously, didn't like her. But when he was battling in the arena, his will being crushed by the minute, as Toby and Claire refused to appear, he still refused to kill her while defending himself. Because he regarded her as her friend after how she saved his life once. He brought her back home, like he promised.

Vendel at first, does look down on him a lot. After all, a human trollhunter? But he gains Vendel's trust by fighting, giving his all to protect trollmarket and vendel realizes how wrong he was about jim in the first place.

He reminds angor rot what he fought her, who he was and how he shouldn't give in to Morgana. Because he knew Angor rot was once a champion as well, that was just trying to protect his people.

Most of all, when he agrees to Merlin's request. Before he goes into the bathtub, he remembers the memories. His moments with everyone and that he'll never be the same James Lake Junior again. That he's sacrificing a part of himself, his humanity, just to fight. To protect.

It breaks his heart. He's scared. And alone. But in his heart he knows, that a sacrifice must be made. That he has to step and protect them or no one will. Because the amulet, chose him.

the medium [2021]

it's a psychological horror game that plays out in two different worlds, one being the rational one and the other being a darker, more honest one. The publisher and developer for this game is Bloober Team. This game has already been released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on 28th January 2021 and it's coming to PS5 on 3rd September 2021.

lost judgement [2021]

this game is a sequel to the game ‘judgement’ or ‘judge eyes’ which is one of my favorites. The publisher is Sega, and the developer is Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, who have developed the infamous Yakuza series. It is very Yakuza like but it's also very different. In the first part, the story follows Takayuki Yagami, a lawyer who got a murderer, Okubo Shinpei, acquitted. Yagami retires from being a lawyer and becomes a detective, only to be forced to face his past again. The sequel has a different storyline and I can't wait! It's releasing on PS4 and PS5 on September 24th.

fatal frame: maiden of black water [2021]

yes, this game was released in 2015, I know. but it's actually releasing on PS4 and PS5 soon! this is the fifth installment in the series published by Nintendo and developed by Koei Tecmo. The story follows Ren Hojo, Yuri Kozukata and Miu Hinasaki to Mount Hikami, a sacred location haunted by bizarre and unfortunate occurrences. will the three be able to find the truth behind the mountain? fatal frame series is a Japanese survival horror game which was first released in 2001.

replaced [2022]

it's a 2.5D retro single player game that takes place in a city called Phoenix, where an artificial intelligence is trapped inside a human body. It's a dystopian story set in the alternative 1980’s. but with all of that being said, it is only coming to Xbox and PC. The developer is Sad Cat studios and the publisher is Coatsink. if anyone remembers in E3 2017, there was a 2.5D game called ‘the last night’. Yep, it's very similar to that.

redfall [2022]

It follows the story of four friends namely Jacob, Layla, Remi and Devinder, that are protecting the island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, which is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. You can choose your hero from a diverse roster, grouping up with others to create the perfect team of vampire slayers. It's an open world co op shooter game, the developer being arkane studios and publisher being Bethesda. It is launching on Xbox Series X|S and PC in Summer 2022.

a plague tale: requiem [2022]

this game is the sequel to the single player game ‘a plague tale: innocence’ that follows the story of amicia and her brother hugo as they try to survive in war torn medieval France pursued by the Inquisition and an endless horde of ravenous rats. It is an action adventure horror stealth game. It's developer is Asobo Studios and it's publisher is Focus Home Interactive.

stranger of paradise: final fantasy origins [2022]

okay, yes, I know the trailer was very shitty but I promise you, you should watch the gameplay. It's much better and more likeable. this game is a spin off of final fantasy and is being developed by Team Ninja and published by Square Enix. The story follows Jack and his allies, Ash and Jed that desperately want to defeat chaos. Yet, doubts remain. Are they truly the Warriors of Light like the prophecy said?

lost souls aside [no date]

I don't know much about the storyline but the game has very final fantasy x devil may cry vibes. The trailer for this game was originally released in 2016, by a guy named Bing Yang. He was developing this entire game on his own, till recently. He has [I think] earned a grant from Sony and has his own team now and they released 17 minutes of gameplay on IGN! so you should go check it out. There is a possibility it's a PS5 exclusive but I'm not sure. And they haven't given a release date as of yet.

senua’s saga: hellblade II [no date]

sephiroth crescent and caius ballad.

sephiroth, ah, my favorite hero turned villain arc portrayed so beautifully to be honest, and it's so raw you know? his own truth drove him insane and he's taking his revenge,, while I feel terribly for cloud, I just really want a redemption arc for sephiroth. One can only imagine of course. I doubt they'd go for it. but yeah, post redemption sephiroth? He struggles a lot and he needs constant care and pet cats. he needs pet cats.

caius ballad is so underrated? and for no reason really. he's one of the best villains. and in terms of power, he's more stronger than sephiroth? I mean, c'mon, lightning is the strongest in this part and she doesn't even come close to beating him and he tricks noel into getting what he wants. I think caius is a big softie at heart and I want to hear his story more. Also, when they were creating caius, they wanted to create a much stronger villain, very sephiroth like, but even more tougher.
