2026 is going to be big, my best year yet

Mac Demarco's seminal album "Another One" was released 10 years ago today, August 7, 2015. The penultimate track "Without Me" is probably the most important song on the soundtrack to this blog.

I haven't forgotten about you guys. I'm just not 100% in the headspace of the photo blog at this moment, but i'm sort of obsessed with the idea, which is the first part. right now i'm actively working archiving other things - namely my digital camera abandonware cd collection.

only concerned with photographs. i think my entire narrative is photographs. i'm illiterate. words are my aspiration but not my reality. stuck somwhere between. i hate video, not fond of movies. wish i was literate with words. just have cameras. awful. will make a new tag on apodicticdotnet for the photoblog archive

things are in motion. I will start posting again. I think I will probably start on @apodicticdotnet but also maybe instagram (@ michaelouz or uh @ apodictish on twitter i may post there). I want to start posting chronologically from 2013 onwards. This makes sense in my mind, and should for long time fans of the blog.

I am thinking about turning @apodicticdotnet into an actual blog - like writing things there, original photography, etc.

Half Life 2 was released 20 years ago today, November 16, 2004. Valve has released a somewhat benign but nevertheless interesting documentary about the development of the game to commemorate the event (in addition to 20th anniversary updates to the game itself including new in-game commentary). For passionate fans this is all essential viewing/playing.

I just completed achievement 23/23 in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. I have now 100%'ed the entire Half Life 2 series.
