You were always a shy person, a homebody, someone who found any possible excuse to stay inside. And yet here you were, in front of the mirror in a dress that younger you would have cringed at. You layered on your favorite gloss, genuinely excited to go out tonight.

The bathroom door opened and the steam diffused the familiar scent of woody cologne through the room. A low wolf whistle sounded behind you as you smiled without turning around. "Too much?" you asked. "Not. at. all." a smooth voice said with a low chuckle.

"You sure you want to go that badly princess?" Jay asked as he wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing your jaw. "I mean, we could stay in and I could appreciate all of that effort you put into your makeup and dress properly..."

"Nice try." You said, shrugging him off playfully and you looked through your perfumes. He groaned dramatically as he stepped back. "Worth a shot." He said as he dried his hair.

You chose a perfume and sprayed it on before looking in the mirror one more time and taking a deep breath. "Why are you so nervous?" Jay asked, picking a shirt from the closet. "I mean, we've been together for over three years now and you're FINALLY letting me meet your family." you said, smoothing down your dress for the nth time. Jay chuckled. "I know, they should be terrified." He teased, pulling out an ash gray dress shirt. "Jay!" You protest. "I'm joking!" He laughed, pulling the shirt on. You turn to face him, buttoning it up for him.

"You really think they'll like me?" His eyes softened as he held your hands to pause you. "Baby, you're acting like their opinion will change how I feel about you. It won't. Whatever or however they feel, you're mine and I'm yours." You nodded softly. "Now you might want to move back a little before I kiss you and you complain about me messing up your perfect lip combo." He teased. You laughed but moved back anyway.

He finished dressing, tucking his shirt into his jeans and fixing his hair, before grabbing a thin chain from his jewelry dish on the vanity. "You want to do the honors?" He asked with a knowing smile. You took the chain and clasped it around his neck. Jay looked in the mirror one more time, admiring the matching engagement rings you two had on, before he straightened up. "Thanks. Now let's go show them how amazing you are." He said, taking your hand.

Dinner with his family had gone incredible. The clubbing adventure his cousins insisted on afterwards to celebrate? Well, it was something.

Jay knew your alcohol tolerance was low. He didn't know it was this bad.

Jay knew you loved Lana Del Rey. He didn't know it was this much.

Jay knew that you were always musical and loved humming and mouthing along with songs. He didn't know you had the talent to be the next big pop singer if you wanted to.

He had left you alone for fifteen minutes to catch up with his bros, only to then find you at the mic on the stage while the singer was on break. Brooklyn Baby had started playing in the background faintly. You had kicked your heals off and your bun was untied, revealing your long, silky waves. Jay found it cute how confident you were when you were drunk. He scolded his cousins for letting you get this drunk while he made his way to the stage to get you. Then, you started singing.

The crowd froze silent. Jay stood rooted to his spot up the stage steps. The singer came back for her break but didn't try to go back. Everyone listened.

Your eyes were closed as if you were in a trance. Jay let out a shaky breath and quietly went on stage, signaling the guitarist to borrow his guitar. He nodded and handed Jay the guitar. He sat down before finding the melody and playing with you.

"Well my boyfriend's in a band

I've got feathers in my hair

Jay kept strumming, but he could tell that you didn't even notice him. You had this smile on your face while you sang, not caring about any of the damage you were creating.

"I'm talking 'bout my generation

Talking 'bout that newer nation

And if you don't like it you can beat it

A shiver ran through Jay the moment that verse left your mouth. He's never heard you cuss. Ever. And even though this didn't count for much, he couldn't explain how attractive he found it.

After the song finished, the crowd exploded. He put the guitar aside and clapped, a proud smile on his face before he came up behind you. You turned to see him and jumped into his arms, kissing him, before everything went black.

The sunlight streaked the covers of the bed as you groaned awake. "Jay?" You called out. He came into the room, clad in just sweatpants and the chain from last night, holding a cup of coffee.

"Morning, princess" He said with a smirk. You froze at the tone. "I did something stupid didn't I?" You asked, getting out of bed, and going into the bathroom to freshen up. You splash water across you face before looking in the mirror, finding yourself in his shirt with your makeup wiped clean and hair brushed out. He chuckled. "Well you might not be thrilled about it but I definitely enjoyed it. You scoffed. "You always enjoy it when I do something stupid." You said, brushing your teeth. You finish washing up and head to the kitchen and he follows.

"Well you're viral now, baby." You look back at him. "Oh, god. What what is it?" He plays the video and you froze, horrified. "No." He smirked. "I didn't know my fiancée had a talent like this hidden from me." "Jay stop!" You said, reaching for his phone. He held it out of your reach, laughing. "Okay I'll stop on one condition." "What." "You give me a private concert right now while I play my guitar." "Absolutely not." "Suit yourself baby, but no one can see your face in this video. The internet might receive an anonymous tip about who you are..."

Your eye widened. "You wouldn't." He shrugged, still smirking. You sighed. "Fine." He smiled and grabbed his guitar before pulling you onto his lap on the couch. He started playing the melody and you took a deep breath.

By the time the song finished, Jay had this awestruck expression. "Baby... why would you hide this from me..." You looked away. "I didn't mean to... it just never came up." Jay's eyes softened. "What do you mean? You always watch me play guitar... you could have told me." You still didn't look at him. "I was always forced to hide it as a kid so... just never wanted to show it off..." You said softly. He cupped your jaw to face him. "Well you don't have to hide anymore. You have to show me everything from now on. I'm the man you're marrying. The one you're going to share the rest of your life with. You should should tell me everything, so that I can show you how beautiful every part of you is." Your heart soared as you kissed him. He kissed you back, putting the guitar aside and pulling you closer. "I love you y/n. Every. Damn. Fucking. Inch of you." He whispered. "And..." He started with a chuckle, "I'm not in a band, but you're still my baby." You laughed softly before you kissed him harder.

Right then, you realized, that getting drunk beyond imagination, sometimes ends with you drunk not on alcohol, but on love, and it feels better than any drug known to man. You didn't know how you were going reciprocate all of this love, but as Lana once said: "Loving him was never enough."

No feelings. Seemed simple enough right? The random average person would say: "Obviously not. Do you even watch movies? It always ends up with feelings." And you would definitely hear them out because they wouldn't be wrong, but you knew for a fact that this story would be different. Why? Because your partner in this pact was Myung Jaehyun. If you had a dollar for every time time this man did something like this you would be a millionaire. So it would be perfectly safe.

So how exactly did this even happen?

Well for one, you were a healthy girl with your needs, but you didn't have the time and weren't willing to put in the effort to maintain a full time relationship, but you weren't just going to go on tinder every time you needed to get laid. No. Even with something this ridiculous, you still needed a constant in the arrangement.

That constant was going to be Jaehyun.

To say you knew him would be an understatement. You two had been head-to-head in middle school before you moved. So god forbid a girl gets surprised when her forgotten enemy shows up in her O-Chem class on her first day of university. Four years of high school without you had definitely done something to him. His once straight hair was now permed. He had grown a solid six inches at least, and his ears were now pierced.

The one thing that stayed the same?

Those eyes.

Still as soft and bright as ever. They were beautiful.

Your arguments slowly started again got louder and louder, picking brawls over old memories and new experiences, until one night, the tension broke. The aftermath? carelessly-tossed-aside clothes, wrinkled bedsheets, three condoms in the trash, and a LOT of hickeys on both of you. When you first woke up, you panicked. How could this happen? With the one person you promised to never touch? Then, you looked over at his sleeping face and suddenly every ounce of uncertainty and regret drained from your body. This was Myung Jaehyun. The boy you hated since sixth grade. Maybe you could live with his arguments, especially if you got something like this out of them.

You told him that you couldn't commit to anything right now, but you wanted to keep this up. He just nodded that with stupidly attractive smile before pushing your back against the wall again.

Maybe, just maybe though, whatever that random average person said was right. Maybe feelings were eventually unavoidable, even when it came to Myung Jaehyun.

The arrangement went on pretty well for a few months, until the argument.

"I said no feelings myungjae. What the hell is your problem then?" You said in frustration. "You think that means you can go out with other guys behind my back?" "Why not! Whatever we have is casual, isn't it?" "Whatever happened to not being able to commit to a real relationship?" "That's different jae. I'm not committing to anything but, I'm free to see whoever I want and if I meet someone I like, I discontinue this." "But you can't!" "Why not!" "Because I need you! I won't ever stop! I can't lose you!" You both froze. He let out a shaky breath. "Baby..." He started, but you weren't having it. You left.

You couldn't believe it. Your enemy had almost confessed to you. That little voice in your head sounded suddenly. "Maybe he's not an enemy anymore?" You pushed it aside. You couldn't take this. You needed something else.

Jaehyun couldn't sleep that night. He was too mad at himself for that slip-up. Truth was, he loved you since you were kids, so when you said no feelings, he felt rage bubble up inside him, but no one could resist him for too long. You would be back, and this time, he would make sure that it was not just for his body, but for his heart as well.

"Is he going to be there?" was your first question when Yujin begged for you to come with her to the party. "Not a chance. I already asked multiple people." You sighed. "Fine." She jumped in joy and hugged you before going out of the room. "We leave at 8." She called back.

You pulled out a short, sparkly blue dress that reached your mid-thigh and had thin straps. The voice came back.

"That was a gift from him you know... He said it was only for him to see..." You shook your head to shake the voice out. So what? This was your choice.

You pulled it on and paired it with matching heels and silver jewelry.

Tonight was not going to be about Myung Jaehyun.

The music was loud. The lights were red. The drinks were spiked. College. Am I right? You walked in with Yujin, joining your group of friends. An hour passed and he slipped out of your mind completely.

You stood by the kitchen counter, watching Yujin dance with her boyfriend as you held her purse. Then, you felt it. A gaze burning into your back, and you knew exactly whose it was. You didn't turn, You didn't need to, and to be honest you wouldn't have enough time to either. "What did I say about this dress, angel?" A voice spoke into your ear as an arm you knew too well wrapped around your waist. "It's my dress. I can wear it whenever I want." You said stubbornly, though you knew you were already screwed if he got you alone. He chuckled as he leaned closer, biting your earlobe, "Feeling a bit brave, are we? Do you need a reminder of who bought that set you're wearing underneath it too, baby?" A shiver ran up your spine like a shockwave. This absolute bastard. "Get lost Jaehyun." "Jaehyun huh? What happened myungjae?" "I said get-" Yujin's voice interrupted when she called you over. You took the opportunity immediately and left. He didn't hold you back, but he followed.

The group sat in a circle. He took a seat across from you. The bottle spun a few times few it finally landed on you. "Have you hooked up with anyone in this circle?" "No." You answered. So quickly that it almost sounded as it it was automated. Jaehyun's gaze darkened. You prayed that you would get caught, but of course, luck wasn't on your side.

The bottle had spoken.

"Jaehyun, I dare you to take someone from this circle upstairs for seven minutes of heaven."

That's it. You're kissing your legs goodbye.

"Y/n." His voice said firmly and the circle cheered. You quietly got up and followed him upstairs. He pulled you in front of him halfway up the stairs, hand resting firmly on your ass.

Fuck you really were screwed.

The door locked and you was slammed against it. "Lying isn't one of your best virtues darling, but we can fix that, can't we? All it takes is a little lesson and the honesty comes flooding out." He dragged his lips down the column of your neck. "Jaehy-" "No. That's not my name to you." He bit down on your collarbone and you gasped. "Myungjae please..." "Better. Now, strip." You look up at him, pleading no. "Now. Or I'll do it for you." You slowly slide out of your dress. His eyes darken at the lace beneath. Just like he had guessed. "On your knees." You slowly sunk to your knees in front of him. He unbuckled his belt, his eyes never leaving you. "You know what to do, and if you use teeth, you won't be able to sit down for a week." He warned. "Are we clear?" You nodded. "Words, baby." "Yes myungjae." "Good girl. Get started." You slowly pulled his jeans and boxers down, pulling his length free. "Open." He said, tapping the head against your lips. You obey and he carefully pushes in.

No matter how mad he was, he took care to not hurt you. He could be completely pissed, but he would never break you in that way. You were his to love, not to destroy.

Sunghoon flinched awake before sighing in annoyance, pulling on a tank top over his bare torso before going to open the door. Your shoulders had tensed noticeably and Sunghoon could tell that your smiled had dropped from your face even though it was your back was facing him. "Y/n." He pressed, wanting an answer. "What do you mean? I'm fine." You say steadily. "I didn't ask if you were fine. I asked you what did he do." You stayed silent and he sighed softly. "Why are you crying if you're fine then?" It was true. Tears were decorating your cheeks, and he didn't even have to face you to know. You let out a quiet sniffle but still didn't turn around. He slowly came up and and hugged you from behind. You leaned back into his embrace. "I don't what I didn't do for him..." You sobbed softly. He hugged you tighter as his jaw ticked. He cheated. That bastard. But Sunghoon felt something strange bloom in him. He was angry, that part was undeniable, but there was something else. Satisfaction, relief, gratitude. Half of him hated himself for it. The other half egged him on to make a move. He listened to the rational part of him. What you needed right now was comfort, not another man wanting you to be his, even though you didn't know that he had been yours forever.

The rain attacked the windows harshly as he led you to sit down on the edge of his bed. "Stay. I'll get a towel and some clothes." You nodded. He went into his closet, grabbing the fluffiest towel he owned and a pair of your clothes he kept incase of emergencies. He came back and handed them to you. "Here. I'll make some tea." He said before leaving the room. You knew you made the right decision coming here. Not anywhere else. Here. You showered and pulled on the clothes, sitting on the bed drying your hair while he came in with the cup. He swaps the cup for the towel, drying your hair instead while you sipped. You felt like you should say something. Anything. An explanation, an apology, a 'thank you'. "I found him-" You started. "Don't. His name or topic doesn't deserve to be on your tongue again." You nodded, noticing how firm he was. The silence continued as you finished the tea. He took the cup and towel, putting them aside and sitting down next to you. He gently took your hand in his. "You know I always hated him? But I never told you because I was afraid you would cut me off." He admitted quietly. You looked at him but he didn't return the gaze. "I love you." He said suddenly. Your breath hitched. He looked into your eyes with a gaze that said he wasn't lying. "Since when?" You ask softly. "Forever. As long as I can remember." "Sunghoon... why didn't you-" "Because I was stupid. And scared. Scared that you would freak out and push me away. Scared that I would lose you completely. So I stayed silent, telling myself that even if I didn't have you like that, I at least had this... but I can't take it without you at least knowing anymore." You stayed silent for a while. "Say something. Anything." You didn't. You didn't know if it was the emotions you were feeling from his words or the hormones you were being driven by because of how good he looked in this light, but you kissed him suddenly. He froze, hesitant to move or touch you. You pressed closer and he gently brought his hand up to your waist and the back of your head, his eyes falling closed. He breathed you in. "Fuck, angel." He muttered as he pulled you closer. You wrapped your arms around his neck, let out a quiet sob into his mouth. He didn't stop until you pulled away for air. "I've been so blind, searching for something fake... when all I needed was right in front of me..." You said softly, caressing his cheek gently. He shivered at your touch and grabbed your wrist, bring it to his lips for a small kiss. "You'll always have me, whether it be now or later that you decide it, but when you do, just know that I'm never letting you go. You'll be stuck with me." You hug him. "I want you. I never want to leave. I want to stay with you forever." He embraced you tightly. "Say the word, sweetheart. Say it and I'll make sure tears don't even THINK about coating these beautiful eyes." You nod softly. "Words, angel." "Yes Hoon. I'll be yours" You whisper softly. He kisses you again and this time, you don't pull away.

The sunlight spread through the sky the next morning, as if apologizing for the previous night's rain. The kitchen smelled of coffee and something sweet. Sunghoon leaned against the kitchen counter, eye-contact with you not breaking even while sipping from his mug. You mirrored his expression as you sat of the opposite counter. He put his mug aside and just stared at you with that soft, subtle smile you'd always loved.

"What?" you asked with a small laugh. He shook his head as he moved closer hands placed on the counter either side of you. "Just can't believe that you're finally mine." You smiled and kissed him gently. He cupped your left cheek, reciprocating your actions with the same amount of love and care. You pulled away gently to catch your breath. "I love you" You both voiced at the same time. A laugh bubbling up between you. "Never let me go." You whispered. "Never, my love." He confirmed, kissing your cheek. "You never knew it, but I was always yours, and now that you do know, I'm never letting you go." That's when you knew, you were right where you were always meant to be.

Dating Han Taesan wasn't easy. For starters, you were his sister, Taeri's best friend. You'd known Taesan since seventh grade. You had a test on Monday and a presentation to finish curating while you were running on two hours of sleep, but just an hour before, Taesan sent you a message. The kind that you only got from him when he really wanted something, but was too proud to say it. So you sucked it up, threw on a random dress from your closet and went. You scanned the crowd slowly to find him. When your eyes landed on him, your heart dropped to your shoes. There he was, on the couch and a girl on his arm. LITERALLY. She was so close to him, her arms wrapped around his right one as they talked and laughed. He threw a minuscule glance your way before focusing back on her. What was he doing? What was he trying? Why did he want you here if this was his agenda? You thought he was playing a game for when you arrived, but the girl just kept inching closer and closer, clinging harder to him like a leech and he did nothing to stop it. Suddenly, your vision blurred before it cleared again, but your face was wet now. Two years down the drain just like that? Was that it? He looked up again and his smile dropped completely. He got up without another word and rushed to you before grabbing your hand and pulling you with him. You tried. Oh lord you tried to shake him off but he didn't budge.

Once his bedroom door was locked behind you, he led you to sit on his bed and kneeled in front of you, hands on your knees and eyes looking up into yours. He didn't say anything. He just waited. "What do you want from me?" You asked, voice steady though your pulse was anything but. "What do you want me to give you? Or is it too late? Have I lost you already?" You kept going, not sure if you were questioning him, scolding him, or pleading with him. It was all blurred into one. How was he during this? Silent. Completely. Just staring up at you with a look that you wished was easier to decode. Suddenly, mid sentence, you were cut off. You let out a soft gasp into his mouth that he swallowed while moving his lips against yours. He pulled away after a few seconds. "You're beautiful. You know that?" All the emotions you had in you just had in you disappeared, a strange warmth replacing them. "Don't do that. Don't try to sweet talk your way out of this." You said firmly, though you could feel blood rush to your cheeks. He didn't tease. He reached up and caressed your cheek gently. "I know you're angry. Let me explain myself first?" He asked, dragging his lips from your cheek to the crook of your neck. You shivered gently. "Why? So that you can explain why you're dumping me?" He looked back at you with something darker. "Don't ever say that again. I mean it." "I saw you with her Taesan. You were so comfortable, so free." "It was a set up, and I promise you, after you hear me out, you can decide whatever you want with us." You looked at him with a glare. He kisses your nose. "You remember that date we had a couple of weeks ago? When we got dinner?" You did remember. You couldn't forget it. "What about it." "You got jealous when the waitress asked for my number." You froze. "No I didn't" "Baby." "I didn't." "I saw you. It was subtle but I saw." He shifted back on his knees slightly to look up at you better. "And what I saw, god It was incredible. Do you know how damn gorgeous you look when you're angry?" "Taesan." "I'm being serious. It became my new favorite look on you." "Where are you taking this?" "It was all an act, baby. I just wanted to see how angry I could get you, but I made you cry instead and I'm hating myself for it right now." You stared at him with an expression between disbelief, exasperation, anger, and relief. "Are being serious?" "Fucking dead serious." He confirmed. "And you have every right to hurt me back, but please don't leave me, my love... I can't live without you, even if I am a complete asshole sometimes. You're the one for me, and that's a promise. Please?" You stayed quiet for a few minutes before flicking his forehead with a glare, something you always did when you forgave despite still being angry at something. He flinched but smiled. "That's my sweet girl." He said, moving up to the bed to sit next to you now.

"I'm still mad at you." You said firmly and he pulled you to straddle his lap. "But you would be a lost cause without me and I don't want your sister to suffer with another one of your emo phases." His grin widened before he kissed you again softly. "Thank you so much angel. You don't deserve to put up with my bullshit, but I love you too much to let you go." "You gave me the chance of walking away less than ten seconds ago." "You love me too much to do that as well." "Shut up." He chuckled softly before claiming your mouth again. You cupped the back of his neck with one hand while the other toyed with the chain he had on. He caressed your waist slowly with one hand while the other rested on your right thigh, tracing patterns gently. You pull away for air as he kissed down your neck. "Did the girl know you were pulling a prank?" He mumbled something that sounded like a 'yes' against your collarbone. "You make me so mad sometimes." "Yet you're still on my lap, doll and I don't hear you complaining." He murmurs as he sucks a mark that's guaranteed to bruise the next morning. You don't even bother telling him at this point. He always gets in a trance in bed, like you were the only thing on this earth that mattered to him at that moment, and maybe you were. "Why did you cry? You never cry." He asked suddenly, listing his head up to look at you. You told him how much you had apart from tonight on your mind and his face dropped. "Fuck. I'm such an idiot." He said, more to himself than you. "It's not your fault, you didn't know." "I still shouldn't have gone that far." You kissed him to shut him up. "If you don't stop talking I will walk out." He resumed his actions quickly. "Sorry sorry, I just-" "San." "Right, shutting up." He said as he laid you down gently on his bed. "Let me make it up to you?" He asked hopefully. You smiled gently. "Make it worth my while." He smirked. "Always, my queen."

The sunlight peeked through the curtains as the glow hit Taesan's bare back. He squinted around the room and reached for you, but your side of the bed was empty. He got up in annoyance and went into the bathroom to freshen up before heading downstairs. His annoyance vanished the moment he saw you making coffee in the kitchen. He immediately went up to you, pulling you back into his chest. "Thought you left." He muttered. You smiled. "Thought of it, but decided against it." "Your work?" "The due date got postponed to Wednesday." He smiled. "The world's on my side."

You have no idea how it spiraled this quickly, but you ended up on the counter with his mouth attached to yours. "What the hell! It's eight in the morning!" You quickly shoved him off, ignoring his groan of protest as you got off the counter to see Taeri, but she wan't angry like you expected. She just had this annoyed, exasperated look on her face like Taesan had. "You know? Since when?" You ask, shocked. She scoffed and grabbed a mug for her coffee. "You don't want to know, and you certainly don't want to know how I found out." You shot Taesan a glare as he shot one to Taeri. "What's important is that we have approval." Taesan said, trying to switch the mood. You rolled your eyes. "I think I'll go home now." You said as Taeri laughed and Taesan pulled you back in protest, but he was right about one thing: you didn't have to hide anymore and that's the biggest weight taken off your shoulders.
