“Morning. How was the overnight patrol?”

          “Morning. Nothing suspicious as far as I could see. The new recruits weren’t helpful in the slightest, though.” His brows furrowed together as he expressed his complaint, but he didn’t say more than that. He had already heard before of how his treatment to the fresh recruits were unfair, so he wouldn’t go any further than a glare.

“… even… even when we’re using the potty?”

        “... ... ... ...”

        Saizo remained on guard as he walked past the mess hall and towards the gardens. His head would look from side to side every few moments, as if checking if anyone were following him. He had to be suspicious, for the note left in his private quarters was far too strange. To request for someone like himself to meet in a secluded area, alone and to not tell anyone else, all the while remaining anonymous was simply just...

        It was asking for trouble, he knew it. The ninja was on high alert, focusing his senses on everything around him, nothing would go unnoticed. Not today. He was armed, at least, and ready for anything that would be thrown his way. Seeing the figure standing past the few trees, Saizo flexed his hands and clenched them. They were early.
