I imagine her relationship with Makoto is like Rin and Len from Vocaloid, they don't have a fixed relationship, and it can be interpreted as anything in different fanfics (same for Makoto/Yuma and Yuna/Makiko, it's your interpretation). I think they compete to see who is the most annoying among the others. I usually make genderbend versions that are kind of different from their original version, some versions act like the same. Like, in some stories, Makoto can be Makiko, and she can be him, and they can kind of swap genders and stuff. ( I saw this in an artist's post on Twitter/X)

(There's this in some of Rin and Len's songs where they're the same person.) Imagine if UG had done an experiment that could change gender, or maybe it would be funny if Makoto was a genderbend of Yuma. XD

I don't know any more differences between Makiko and Makoto, but it's fun to draw her and think she's a different person, even she committed the same crimes as Makoto, and that they have the same origin, both being homunculi.

Sorry for the sketches, I spent so much time doing just one drawing that I was too lazy to finish the rest, so stay with the sketch, especially of the Shinigami with Makiko. Shinigami knows that Makiko's outgoing personality is fake, she would probably hate Makiko for being another woman in Yuma's life. XD

I wanted to make a list of Yuma ships in Shinigami's opinion, does anyone do it? 🥹

I want to do more of Makiko, maybe her with the female Yomi, with Yuna, or even with Pucci because she has a similar physique. Makoto has Shinigami and Makiko to argue with him.
