Laughing too loud, joking too long,

Yet somehow becoming the reason you stay strong.

Always knowing exactly what to say.

Others love in silence,

Just showing up and never walking away.

Some drift in like sunshine,

Brightening places that once felt gray.

Some hold your heart together

On the days it starts to fray.

Every friend brings something different,

A piece no one else could replace.

Is it still good manners to give your seat up!!

Yes it is still considered good manners to give up your seat for someone who needs it more, such as the elderly, pregnant women, people with disabilities, or those carrying small children.

While some people have noted a decline in this courtesy, ( I have!!) many still consider it a sign of respect and kindness.

And i try often to give my seat up!

How to handle the situation

Do not hit them with your walking stick!! ( a thing I think about that every time)!

For parents/guardians: Teach children the importance of being observant and offering their seat to someone who might need it more!

For the general public: Be kind and understanding. If you are in a situation where you need a seat, a polite request is usually sufficient. Avoid assuming every young person is being rude.
