as much as i'm against using ai for a lot of (most?) applications, i do have to admit that its environmental effects are often overstated and no different from anything else on the internet, and that the issue is less with individuals using it than people using it like... badly...? if you understand its limitations then you're less likely to use it, but if you were to use it, you'd probably use it just fine. the problem is that so many people think it's a miracle machine while underestimating other people, and they're being pushed to think that by the ai companies that are trying to grow at such a scale that the drastic increase in data centers needed to keep up with that is leading to environmental issues.

what do you mean there are 4 sabeltann plays that they've been performing on repeat for over 30 years and only 3 have proshots. how am i supposed to watch havets hemmelighet. they just wrapped up its latest run last year. it's gonna be almost 10 years before they perform it again. how will i see my wife.
