so we can all agree that kaboodle is the most "normal" one on that ship? even if he's pessimistic and jaded as fuck, he's still the only one that can

run/ fix the spaceship

not let his feelings cloud his judgement

and come up with a pretty good plan? from what we've seen?

but, the thing he lacks is the whole "emotions" / "having fun" thing. and that's what everyone else on the ship seems to specialize in.

as they all go and play games and giggle or whatever they do for fun, kaboodle is going to be at the front.

fixing the errors.

doing whatever he needs to do to make sure those clowns don't crash his ship.

he doesn't have the time or energy to go play duck fuck goose with everyone else, he's too busy running the show!

and yeah, maybe that distances him from everyone else. maybe that makes him the one that will never really fit in with the rest.

but whatever. the ship is flying. he has a purpose. he has a job.

i wouldn’t be surprised if they have an episode where a world gets destroyed specifically bc Kit had to choose between saving the world and saving Kaboodle (and you can bet if there isn’t one i will write it myself)

they’re both the only thing they have left of home and that makes them so insane about each other and it is such a fun dynamic that i really hope to see more of

I need that to be a big part of their dynamic, but I think it works if they’re codependent in different ways.

And we almost saw that idea! We already see Kit is willing to (at least for a moment) let the Syntax find Flappers, aka would lead to this world dying just to find him. She’s got separation anxiety and has regular PTSD flashbacks, it explains why she’s so scared of losing him.

I think Kaboodle on the other hand should also have similar amounts of trauma, but he’s masking it by being a bit of a dick and like it doesn’t affect him (So like Jax but done WAY better because he has an ACTUAL FUCKING REASON). Maybe he’s trying to be the strong one for Kit, be her rock.
