i think if you wanted to be really really mean and horrible, you could blame brea for the extinction for her entire race. i think thra chose brea for a reason and i stick to the theory that brea was THE gelfling chosen to liberate a planets population. the gelfling rebellion started with rian, but it very easily also could have Died With rian if brea just kept her mouth shut and i suppose dying fighting is always better than laying down and letting Yourself die but brea is thra's chosen and (although we're told to not use the movie for the blueprint of aor s2's storyline) we can only assume she fails. to be clear there is no SAVIOUR of the gelfling race. they are forever destined to be slaughtered in an unnatural way that will never return them to the arms of their wailing, withered, poisoned mother

lore is so dear to brea in ways that i can’t fully articulate. i think she’s a very emotional little thing who gets attached to things and people easily for sure, but there’s something about how lore immediately bonded to brea with the promise to protect her from harm directly after the events of her sister imprisoning her + witnessing the murder of her mother that really just made her glue to that stone weirdo
