(SPOILERS FOR DESCONJURAÇÃO EPISODE 6)

There is a very specific scene, after Dante heals Beatrice with his ritual, where they are investigating the room and Liz stops to ask Dante about the ritual. It’s a morte ritual. Liz is incredibly acquainted with Morte, on an intimate level. I mean, how could she not be? She was dangling from her neck in his hold for two decades. She recognized what that ritual did immediately.

So she does the logical thing and questions Dante about it. Because what if he did the same thing to the new girl that happened to her? What if she it was the same? She doesn’t trust Dante. She doesn’t even like him. But she’s in charge now because the others put her in charge. She can’t be, she shouldn’t be, she can’t handle it without Thiago, but she’s in charge anyway now and so she has to look out for them.

(And if it’s also because she’s afraid herself, she would never tell.)

And Dante explains it to her. As he would. Because Dante doesn’t fight. He didn’t resist. He lets them walk all over him and punch him while he’s down because he doesn’t know how to do anything different. Dante is docile and Liz very much is not.

And Liz? She tells him what happened to her. About how she is supposed to be 28 but she’s not anymore. A ritual was used on her. A similar ritual to the one that Dante used on Beatrice. It’s not the same, of course it’s not. Bea’s wound only aged a few months and Liz aged decades but it’s the same thing. And she tells Dante what happened to her and he says she didn’t deserve it and they move on.

But, like, Liz told him. And Dante said she didn’t deserve it. And we just move on from that too quickly.

Liz, who doesn’t trust anyone, who doesn’t trust occultists, told Dante that she was psychologically tortured for two decades. She doesn’t trust him, but she’s making the active choice to trust him. Liz was tortured for two decades, unable to move or get away or do anything. Nothing happened. She spent two decades being held by the neck, confronted with Deus da Morte and only him, and she never spoke about it. Not to Joui. Not to Kaiser or Arthur. She never told anyone, but she told Dante. She chose to trust Dante in that moment, with something that could destroy her if it happened again. She made the choice to trust him.

Liz wanted to trust Dante. So she is. With something so incredibly intimate about her.

And Dante? He accepts it. He takes it. And in the moment, he understands her. She’s angry for a reason. She’s hard to get along with for a reason. He can see her. He understands her. Liz didn’t deserve that. She doesn’t deserve that. And so he tells her that. And Dante is the only person I can think of that told her that she didn’t deserve what happened to her. He doesn’t know her full story, he doesn’t know anything about her, but he does know this. He knows one of the most intimate things about Liz now, something he could use against her, and he understands her. Just for that moment. He understands, he gets it, he sees her point of view. And he says that she didn’t deserve it.

I also cannot stress enough how if you want to get any, and I mean ANY grasp on c!Dream's character, you NEED to watch the actual streams, and you NEED to read his wiki page. You NEED to keep in mind that everything made before the DSMP finale stream will NOT accurately reflect c!Dream's actual personality or goals. If you only watch animatics or summaries from back then, you will find a persona that specifically exists to manipulate people into thinking Dream is more evil and terrifying than he actually is!!!

The deal is... And I'll be gentle about it. Labirinto is a brat tamer.

He uses his low, polite voice, and touch to do so.

ep 01: - labirinto claiming "the answer" is at the end of the labirinth, and then telling aguiar "the labirinth leads to you". - labirinto spreading his own blood on the back of aguiar fingers and aguiar not pulling away. - A: "i could take you anywhere" L: "to dinner?" A: "you're hungry?" L: "i could eat". - labirinto asking aguiar to tell the group to shut up and listen and aguiar obeying.

ep 02: - aguiar trying multiple times to ask agatha for medical help for labirinto. - labirinto pulling only aguiar aside at the bar when he felt dizzy. - labirinto's hand caressing aguiar's while aguiar held him up.

ep 03: - aguiar telling the group to shut up and listen when labirinto was trying to explain what happened. - whatever it was that labirinto's face was doing when henri tried to kiss aguiar, only to bite his cheek. - aguiar pulling labirinto with him when possible danger was closing into the hideout but staying in front of him for protection.

ep 04: - aguiar going to labirinto's side as soon as he wanted to go sleep. - labirinto trusting aguiar with a memory and aguiar trusting labirinto with one in exchange. - A: "if there are no good things in this world, then may this good thing be us". - labirinto and aguiar sleeping, together, away from the rest of the group. - labirinto getting jealous seeing henri and aguiar bonding together. - aguiar immediately flirting with labirinto after getting back from a near death experience and labirinto being unable to stop a tiny smirk in response. - aguiar going "hi :D" when labirinto called for him.

ep 05: - labirinto showing a lot of jealousy when ana referred to aguiar and henry as a couple, and then again when escarlata did the same. - aguiar heading to sleep on the second floor, same place he and labirinto slept at the day before, separated from the rest of the team.

ep 06: - aguiar doing a kabedon on labirinto and saying "we'll talk later" once he told aguiar they needed to talk about the memories they got. - aguiar and labirinto staring at each other when labirinto said he wasn't dating anyone. - aguiar's face when kemi asked if jae and labirinto were dating and then when jae kissed labirinto during the argument. - labirinto hugging aguiar when he started crying talking about his past. - aguiar touching his forehead to labirinto's and holding the side of his face while they're talking about their new memories. - J to A: "don't get so close to me like that or labirinto will get jealous" E: "of which one?", then later labirinto not denying when jae told aguiar "didn't i say he'd be jealous?" and aguiar smiling. - aguiar going straight to labirinto after getting home and putting the rosary on him. - labirinto saying he wants to see aguiar shirtless too - aguiar's reactions every single time jae mentions the thing between him and labirinto. - aguiar teasing labirinto by saying "yes sir" when told to listen. - labirinto agreeing to kiss aguiar later and aguiar smiling. - labirinto trusting aguiar to hold one of his ritual components so he could keep the rosary aguiar gave him.

ep 07: - A, to L: "i'll stay with you, i'll protect you". - aguiar trying to give labirinto's components back and labirinto reminding him that the whole reason he asked him to hold it was so labirinto could keep wearing the rosary aguiar gave him. - aguiar smiling at labirinto saying the rosary fits him. - aguiar and labirinto supporting each other over their injuries.

ep 08: - labirinto confessing to aguiar how guilty he feels over dalmo and pomba. - aguiar and labirinto immediately checking on each other because of the screams and cries once they get in the same room.

ep 09: - aguiar doing everything to not let labirinto touch the bell. labirinto repeatedly asking aguiar to let him go, remi repeatedly telling jasper not to. - remi calling jasper and maria "my hotties". - remi telling pomba to go on the backseat and leave the passenger seat for him even if pomba was the one giving directions to jasper, and justifying it as having stuff to tell jasper when jasper teased him for it (remi didn't tell jasper anything until they arrived). - remi thanking jasper for being nice to him since the very beginning. - jasper saying he and remi should go on more missions together. - remi touching his forehead to jasper's and saying he too would die for jasper, just like jasper said he'd do for the team. - remi screaming "you won't die" before raising jasper back from certain death. - jasper giving a kiss to remi's mask as thanks for saving him. - remi using jasper's intention to heal, making sure the one he gets is jasper, not aguiar, allowing himself to feel jasper's guilt and swearing to avenge him. jasper is now part of remi, and remi tells him "it is you and me, now". - jasper's will, intention and trauma accompanying remi's attack against alvira, their connection so strong it materializes itself on remi's attack. an energy attack imbued with water. - remi saying jasper's heart was the purest he has ever met, and swearing to change, for better, for him, in his name, because he wants to honor jasper's goodness. - remi asking jasper's and maria's souls for forgiveness once the battle was over.
