Stunt- when one to four people lift (generally) one person in the air, where the flyer performs any number of tricks or skills in the air

yuuuup:

top gun: great technique and tumbling and strong male cheerleaders is what i think of immediately. I loved oo5’s routine and thought it was the most innovative routine cheerleading has had in a while, I was confused by ladyjags worlds win but i thought their reactions were awesome, and i like TGLC in past years it just kind of ticked me off that their 2013 routine and 2014 routine were very similar. rate: 4/5

cali: favorite gym. they have really creative choreography and no routines are ever similar to another. they’re constantly creating trends in cheerleading and putting out one powerhouse routine after another. they have a lot of worlds teams but a lot of them manage to globe and even win. 2014 was kind of an off season with scores and sportsmanship but i still love cali and they’re definitely coming back with a vengeance next year. rate: 4.5/5

cheer extreme: probably my least favorite gym to watch. they almost have one team in ever division at worlds, but they still only have around 3-4 teams bringing globes home, and their marquee team is the only team who has brought home golds. the athletes seem to get really cocky when they win, and if you look at like lower levers, youth and junior teams, their technique is kind of frightening. their choreography is kind of stiff and old school and i just dont like them. rate: 2.5/5

cheer athletics: fuck, some of their athletes are just so annoying and it ruins this gym for me. theyre really talented and have great technique but theyre always involved in some kind of drama or some kind of promotion and its just so exhausting trying to keep up with all the shit they do. the only team i really like is ladykatz. rate: buy pump up app 2 reach ur goals :’)

world cup: another one of my faves :0) amazing tumblers and their cleanliness and stunting have really improved and they’re expanding and becoming a powerhouse gym with multiple talented worlds teams really fast. i love stars but ody, suns, and omni are all amazing and their other worlds teams deserve more recognition. i love how they’re becoming a really big name gym and expanding but still keeping their tradition. rate: 4.5/5 

gymtyme: they had an off year this year and i think it was just because their choreography wasnt matching the talent of all of their athletes (ie rouge!!!) but they’re usually extremely clean, talented, entertaining, and badass. i hope they reclaim their glory next year. i also think them getting new uniforms this season was bad luck #bringbacktheOGgtuniform also they have so many fucking golds at worlds like damn rate: 4/5

twisters: i luv their choreography and music and them and world cup are the only two gyms who are still doing routine with that classic showmanship and choreo and entertainment factor. i like f5 and can’t wait to see them back and large, but i think reign deserves a lot more credit because i personally thought reign was a lot better than f5 this past year and competed in a way more competitive division. rate: 3.75/5

spirit: clean routines. kinda boring, kinda not as difficult, but the cleanliness makes them really nice to watch and their technique yields really high scores. they have really classic choreography and you can tell they would rather put out a routine that they can hit clean than a more difficult routine that isn’t clean, which i respect. not my fave but i dont dislike them?? i dont have a lot to say. i like them and they perform great, i just kinda respect them and appreciate them i guess lol rate: 3.75/5
