I remember when you loved me like I was the only one in the world. The one to set you free from the life you’ve been locked behind. I remember when we could spend everyday together and not get sick. I remember when love was splitting subway sandwiches, me eating your pickles, and a room full of giggles and passion. I remember when you loved me like I had painted you a sunset. Like I had bought you everything you’ve ever wanted, just by holding you close. I remember when you wanted the world to know my name because it was music to your ears. I remember when you were excited to be a couple. Excited to kiss and show each other off not giving a damn who knew. I remember when you loved me like you loved yourself. I remember when I saved you those times, and you showed me the real you. I remember seeing how vulnerable you were, but so thankful. I remember being the everything you never knew existed. I remember you loving me like there was no tomorrow and maybe there won’t be, but at least I remember when you loved me.
