3D Matters

Since the incorporation in 2012, the corporate image of 3D Matters has always been in a work progress as we are constantly finding ourselves in a certain look and feel based on our client’s industries and profession. From June 2015 onwards, we are proud to announce a brand new look and direction of where 3D Matters is heading towards. Our corporate identity is defined with our revised logo and website. 

 Our logo now includes an emblem that has a fluid form inspired by 3D printing sculptures and designs. It has an organic, textured pattern that is juxtaposed against the geometric typeface. As for the selected font, the asymmetric layout and condensed lettering is to create an innovative and modern look. As for the colours, we have chosen neutral blues to evoke a corporate and professional direction which is in line with our plans for a integrated 3D printing one-stop shop.

 There will be more updates on 3D Matters’ developments so stay tuned!

Scanning different people in all walks of life is a joy to work with. We had fun talking about why they would like to immortalise themselves. Some love the idea of having a figurine that looks like themselves, some wants to be places next to their loved ones and some present themselves to their loved ones for memorability sake when they are away. Either way, it was our pleasure doing the scans and seeing the end product.

More schools are bringing 3D printing technology into their classrooms. With the number growing in the last two years, one supplier estimates that there are around 20 schools in Singapore with 3D printers.

Now on local news, Singapore's educational bodies are taking interest in 3D printing and has started introducing 3D printing courses to the young. With the younger generation being exposed to this technology, it will help in fully understanding the usage of 3D printing since now, most people thinks that know it all about but sadly they don't.

The interest of many people makes me realised that this technology is the future and the numerous possibilities that it can bring to the design scene. With 3D scanning going hand in hand with what we have established, 3D Matters aim to bridge design and technology in one seamless journey.
