burying his face in his hands, he shook his head in disbelief. all these years later, swallowing his feelings and his struggles so as not to come off as the incompetent lantern, he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that guy was not, in fact, his enemy.

this was not a recent discovery by any means ... simply something he had to remind himself of every time he doubted himself. every time he tried to carry the weight of oa on his shoulders.

There's a smile and one large hand claps down on Hal's shoulder as he continues to smile. “ Oh no, I'm still gonna laugh at ya, that's what friends do. ” Not to the same extent as he did in his younger years, contrary to popular belief Guy had in fact grown up. A lot of work had went into this seemingly newfound ability to actually get along and be tolerable enough for people, to an extent.

They've had their differences, mistreatment was rife and there was an era where Guy never thought he'd be able to count Jordan as a friend but time calls for change often and there are bigger things in this universe for both of them to be worried or even angry at, not that Hal doesn't still get on his nerves sometimes.

The hand moves away and meets with his other as he crosses his arms over his chest. “ But you're stressin' enough that if ya keep goin' you might accidentally create a new type o' ring-slingers and I ain't willing to tangle with a buncha stressed powered fuckheads under your leadership.
