I want you to know that no matter what happens, I’ll always love you. I decided that the first time I was able to feel your skin on my before our game. I decided that when I texted you when people were going off over there being an “us” and you told me you didn’t care what people thought. I decided that the moment you told me that when you looked to the future all you saw was me. I decided that when you told me that you could never stay focused at school because I was the only thing on your mind. I decided that when I was crying and you were the only one who stayed with me. I decided that when, even after I told you my biggest secret, you didn’t judge me. I decided that when you continued to choose me when there were so many other girls who wanted you. I decided that when you first kissed me in that bathroom when you were running late to practice and texted me 5 minutes later to tell me that you wouldn’t change a thing because even though our first kiss was in a bathroom you would always be able to remember it. I decided that the day you came over and my mom said as soon as you left that she loved you and was glad I found a girl like you. I decided that when my cousin took me to pride and asked, even though we were no longer together, if one day I see myself marrying you. And I decided to answer that question with “yes, I see myself marrying her, but her on the other hand only sees herself marrying someone else.” I decided to love you even though you’re with her now because maybe one day we will find each other again, when we are no longer young, and be together. But until than, I choose to love you. I choose you and no one else.
