Sun Setting Over County Clare. . I didn't get to do much, but our group was held up for a couple of days in Ireland in early 2012 on our way to Afghanistan, due to inclement weather in Kyrgyzstan. . We did get to wander the grounds of the Clare Inn and take some pics of the countryside that was visible from the area. Tree-Filtered SuperMoon. I'm glad I pulled myself out of my warm bed last night to go outside and see the moon. I'm glad I convinced myself to move from our porch (my usual perch for pictures from my backyard) to find a different vantage point. I'm not sure how many "new" things I'll find or do this year, but if nothing else, I should continuously remind myself that the new can still exist within the routine. I'm completely taken with how the light of the moon interacts with the bare branches of our tree.
